What a morning!! I met this STUNNING litter of Vizsla puppies today for their microchips. All good as gold. Still some waiting for their forever sofa.

Vizslas are energetic, loyal and affectionate dogs who love human contact. Also know as ‘Velcro dogs’ Vizslas are gun dogs and originated from Hungary. Their nose, eyes and nails all tend to blend in with the colour of the dog. A natural hunting dog, these dogs are easy to train and make amazing pets 🐾🐾

What a morning! Today I met this STUNNING litter of Selkirk Rex kittens for their microchips. A rare breed of cats, Selkirks are famous for their curly poodle like hair however as seen in these kittens some can also have straight hair. A new breed, dating back to America in 1987, they are known to be affectionate, charming and loyal. These cats also shed less hair than other cats due to the curl in their fur. They love attention and like nothing better than snuggling up in the sofa with their human!

This morning I travelled to Helston to meet this absolutely gorgeous litter of smooth coat mini dachshunds. Still one lovely little boy waiting to find his forever sofa🐾🐾

Did you know……

🐶Dachshunds can be traced back to the 15th century in Germany and transported to Great Briton throughout the 19th century

🐶they were originally used to hunt rabbits out of their warrens

🐶they have strong hunting drive so recall work is key. They are known to bond closely to one person

HOW CUUUUUTE are these gorgeous puppies I microchipped this morning. 5 small little bundles of cuteness. 4 boys and 1 girl. Toy poodle is the main breed in this litter with one grand parent being a labradoodle. Both parents are small so it is expected this litter will follow suit. Lovely pups and all looking for their forever sofa🐾🐾

Have you had your cat microchipped yet? 🐱

It is now a legal requirement for your cat to be microchipped, or risk facing a fine up to £500. Owners found to not have their cat microchipped will have 21 days to have one implanted.

Having your cat microchipped gives them the best chance of being returned home safely to you should they ever disappear. For more information, make sure to contact your vet 🐾

2 of the 3 cats I visited after work tonight for their microchips. 3 very anxious cats made tonight’s job a little bit difficult and stressful for the owners but they did a great job of calming them down. A little bribe with dreamies also works a treat.

Not all jobs go to plan. Cats have a sixth sense and defo seem to sense why I am there. Having a blanket, and gloves can offer some much needed protection from teeth and claws 🐾🐾

Is microchipping painful for my pet?

A busy start to the morning over Camborne today to microchip this lovely bunch of felines. I was also asked to scan a cat who had been microchipped as a kitten but was not registered to a database. This is just as important as if you don’t create an account with the database your beloved pets details will not be available to find, meaning being reunited with your pets may prove difficult🐾🐾

What a busy day. I have been to Goonhavern, Perranporth, hayle, Helston, Porthleven, Frogpool and everywhere in between. All these cute cats are now microchipped and registered ready for when the new law comes into play on Monday 🐾🐾
