George and Auburn have done us proud, here at Cornish Calis. This is our first cream/buff litter and we are hoping the sow will point up. Things weren’t entirely straightforward for Auburn but we ended up with 2 lovely, healthy pups and mum is looking after them beautifully. Our thanks go to Ree Watts for letting us borrow the handsome, George and to Daniel Bennett for letting us have, Auburn.

Great excitement here Calis. It’s looking like Auburn (little self buff sow on the left) is expecting a litter, thanks to the attention she has received from George. Our thanks go to Ree Watts for lending us the lovely George, who incidentally is being a very well behaved and polite hutch guest. Well maybe not quite so polite or well behaved, when I think about it 🤣

Cornish Calis had another successful show, last Saturday. Cornish Calis Brea, was placed 3rd out of 10 in the 5/8month Self Any Colour Challenge. Thanks to St Austell Cavy Club for a fab show and Luke, for judging our pigs.

At the Devon Cavy Club show, on Sunday 5th March, we had the chance to exhibit our pigs under our new stud name, Cornish Calis. We were bowled over by how well our pigs did. Welcome to Cornish Calis. We are experienced hobby breeders of guinea pigs (cavies). The Californian is a new breed for us, although we are definitely not new to other breeds of cavies. We aim to help get this breed ‘on the map.’ Hopefully, through this page, you will come to know and love them too.
