This morning we had to go to Guildford Family Court to be granted our parental order which is the final process of the surrogacy law.

Our social worker was with us and unfortunately Claire Aldus was unable to join us physically so joined us virtually which was lovely.

The 4 of us sat infront of 3 judges who had been through all of the paperwork and our social workers assessment and they confirmed that Esme is now officially a Lamb! 🥳

The judges presented both Harry and Esme with a Teddy bear each which was a lovely surprise.

Due to the law, I am unable to show the photos of us all in court but we all stood under the courts crest and had some photos taken of us which will be important and special memories for all of us!

A huge thank you to Claire, our special angel that was sent to us as always for helping us have a family! I'm happy to say that the Lamb family is now complete ❤️

So I have some news....

I want to introduce you to a new member or the Happy Paws and Claws team:

🩷 Esme Claire Lamb 🩷

She was born yesterday at 1.04pm and we couldn't be happier to have her home with us.

I've had 1 hour of sleep but don't care because she's so perfect!

I wanted to let you know because I will still be open for orders but I probably won't always be able to send them the same or next day.. it might be a few days after until I get into a groove of juggling Harry, Esme and the 2 dogs!

I will of course always email you if there is going to be a delay, I won't leave you hanging so please bear with me, I will be doing my very best to keep those treats arriving at your door! ❤️

1 of the most common questions we get asked is what treats can a dog with pancreatitis have so we have put the below together to hopefully answer your questions and banish the myth that dogs with pancreatitis can't have treats!

What is Pancreatitis in Dogs?

Pancreatitis in dogs is a condition that many owners may have heard of but might not fully understand. In simple terms, it refers to the inflammation of the pancreas, a vital organ responsible for aiding in digestion and regulating blood sugar levels. When the pancreas becomes inflamed, it can lead to a host of health issues for our pups. This includes symptoms like abdominal pain, loss of appetite, vomiting, and diarrhoea. Managing pancreatitis requires diligence, but with the right approach, dogs with this condition can still lead happy, fulfilling lives.

How can it be Managed?

For dog owners faced with managing pancreatitis, a tailored approach to diet and treats becomes essential. It's crucial to focus on low-fat, easily digestible foods that are gentle on the pancreas. Additionally, feeding smaller, more frequent meals can help alleviate strain on the digestive system.

What sort of Treats can you give a dog with Pancreatitis? 

While it's true that some treats can exacerbate pancreatitis symptoms, not all are off-limits. As long as you are choosing treats that have less than 10% fat in them then you can still treat your pup to a small amount of exciting and tasty treats. If I could, I would be staying there every weekend.. it's the perfect place for a getaway!
