📣📣 Special home needed 📣📣

Our beautiful Aretha is the last of her litter. Her brother is going to his new home on Saturday and we’re hoping we can find her a forever home before he goes.

Aretha is 4 months old, fully vaccinated, neutered and microchipped.

She’s a super friendly girl with a huge amount of energy and loves to chase her siblings around.

Aretha does have a grade 5 murmur but she doesn’t let it stop her. We would cover any costs specifically relating to the heart murmur with our vets.

She would need to be an indoor only cat and loved to chase her siblings around so would benefit from another cat in the home.

Videos in comments of our crazy Aretha.

Could You Foster a Cat?
We’re looking for caring individuals to provide foster homes for cats in need. Whether you can commit to a:

Forever foster - For our golden oldies or cats with medical conditions.

Just for a while foster - To see if we can get them to feel safe in a home environment.

Short-term foster - When we are desperate for more space.

We have opportunities to match your availability!

If your home has no other pets, or if you have a separate room away from other pets, you could make a difference in a cat’s life.

Enjoy the companionship of a cat without the worry of vet bills—we’ll handle that part through our partnered vet.

Contact us today to learn more about fostering opportunities.

📣📣Microchip Transfers 📣📣

We’re currently going through the list of microchips we still have registered to us, some of these date back to 2019. We have tried contacting everyone via email and phone. If you think your cats microchip hasn’t been transferred over please get in touch with us via email or messenger. Some of our emails can end up in your junk/spam folder so be sure to check there too.

Thank you

Betty and Fergus

This little duo aren't from the same litter but have lived together since they were tiny.

Both approx 5 months old now. Neutered, chipped and fully vaccinated.

Fergus was found in the middle of nowhere, absolutely tiny and wanting human contact, he found someone to rescue him who contacted us. His fur is like velvet. Absolutely adores his big foster brother (adult cat) and purrs when he spots him. It will be sad to seperate them but I can't help more cats if I keep all my fosters. Betty was part of a feral colony, she is mischievous and very playful where Fergus is more laid back.

They are looking for a home together. Betty is obsessed with toes and attacks mine regularly. She loves spring toys too and the laser dot. They love playing out in the enclosure so a home with safe outdoor space would be great for them to explore safely or a catio would be even better.

If you have room in your home for a beautiful pair then see comments for application process.
If you have a gentle maternal resident cat they would get on great with these 2 as they love being cleaned and loved on.

Moomin & Amber

These two were brought into us after found straying together.

Moomin (white) is 4 years old and amber is 10. We’d like to rehome these 2 together as they are quite bonded.

Moomin had some dental work when he came in and we treated his ears as they were pre cancerous. He’s recovering well.

Both are neutered, microchipped and have had their first vaccinations.

Could you offer this pair a loving home?

How adorable is Annie?!

She was brought into us after found straying for a while. She was being fed by locals in the area.

She’s very sweet and can usually be found curled up sleeping but loves attention. We think she’s around 6/7 years old.

Annie is neutered, chipped and has had her first vaccine.

She would make a fantastic addition to a home, could you be the one to offer her the furever home she’s looking for?

Joseph

A giant softy, Joseph has been with us a few months now. He was very shy and nervous when he first come in but has come out of his shell recently.

He absolutely adores attention and rewards you with lots of purs. He was brought into us as a stray so not much is known about his background.

We think he would be suited to a home where he was the only pet so he could lap up all the attention.

Joseph is around 2 and a half years old.

Carl

This laid back lad is Carl. He’s been with us a few weeks now and has settled into sanctuary life well.

He was found sleeping in a garage.

He’s around 3 years old and is super friendly, he loves to jump down off his cage and greet the volunteers in the morning constantly looking for attention.

We don’t know what he’s like around other cats or dogs but he doesn’t seem bothered by the other cats in his room.

Now is the time to neuter.
Get her booked in before you have multiple kittens to feed and care for.
It's not a rescues responsibility to care for your cats kittens it's your responsibility to spay.
Neutering before your cat has a litter, massively reduces her chances of getting certain cancers later in life.
If your vet refuses to neuter between 4 and 6 months, find a better vet.

📚 Our BACK TO BASICS SERIES: female cats are “seasonally polyestrous" 🐱 They can have multiple cycles during their breeding season, which is influenced by the amount of daylight.

In the northern hemisphere, as the amount of daylight begins to increase with the winter solstice (12/21), the reproductive cycle of intact females kicks into gear, and most will go into heat by late January. A female cat will continue to go into heat every 1 to 2 weeks until she gets pregnant. Regular estrus activity will continue until the amount of daylight decreases (October). The feline gestation period is about 63 days, which is why we typically see the first kittens of the season arriving in late March. (Remember that a kitten reaches sexually maturity from 4 months of age!) 🙀

If your climate allows, NOW is the ideal time to spay and neuter feral and stray cats to get ahead of kitten season and end the breeding cycle before it starts. If you are in a cold climate and spaying is not advised because of potential harm to the females, you can start working on the males. (It takes two!) If nothing else, take inventory and restock your supplies. Make a plan! 📅
