Ty-Nant Cat Sanctuary was established in 1990 in response to the problem of unwanted or stray cats and kittens in the area.

Since then hundreds of cats & kittens have passed through our care. Some have been successfully re-homed, others due to their temperament or illness have stayed at Ty-Nant. Adoption fees - For a cat we ask for a minimum donation of £80 For a kitten we ask for a minimum donation of £95 For a neutered kitten over 16 weeks we ask for a minimum donation of £135 Any deposits made on a kitten/cat are NON-REFUNDABLE. Sandy and Kenny.

How's bloomin cute are these two brothers.

They came in as tiny little babies. They're mam has been neutered and adopted already and now it's time for these little rascals to find their forever home. They purr so loud you think there's a car pulling up outside.
They had their chip and vaccinations yesterday and clean bill of health. They are bonded so we are looking for them to go together.
Approx 12 weeks old and super, super sweet.

Long term retirement foster home needed for this little old lady named Hope

She came in off the streets and was shaved as she was severely matted. Her fur is now growing back and she looks like a teddy bear. She has the odd snuffle so would need a home with no other cats. She is on daily metacam for a bit of old timer bones, but that can be put in her food. She has a good appetite and is a proper little sweetie. Needs a nice warm, quiet home to live out her golden year's. Someone who is happy to brush her coat and give her lots of loves.
Vet bills covered with our vet and meds covered.

Dora, Dolly, Diesel & Denny

4 little siblings currently in foster together and soon will be ready for their forever homes. 12 weeks old.
This is what their foster mam says about them.

This delightful litter of kittens will make a home complete.
The tabby boys love nothing more than snuggling up to you for head rubs and tickles, the black & white girls enjoy a fuss but would much prefer to chase each other and wrestle each other, they have brilliant appetites and are very vocal at meal times,
They are truly amazing kittens and make me laugh with their wickedness.

Hercules

How handsome is this chap? I can not emphasise how cwtchy, affectionate and loving this boy is!

He would brought into us as a stray, the vet checked him over and we found out his FIV positive.

Hercules is around 5/6 years old. He would be a great companion as he’s super loving and affectionate and loves nothing more than a bit of fuss.

He is currently in foster and here’s what his foster mam has to say..

Hercule has been fostered with me for the last month or so and has settled in really easily. He loves nothing more than curling up on any available lap and snoring happily. Also gets a bit transfixed by feathers on a string 😁
He looks like a bruiser but he's very loving and cuddly.

Our big eyed beauty came in after having at least 3 litters outside. She was accompanied by her babies.
She's absolutely beautiful, very loving and loves attention. She's due to be neutered this week, then will be ready for her forever home. She's microchipped and had her first vaccination and health check.

Thelma is seeking her Louise for wild adventures.
Not really she's actually after the quiet life.
She's 9 years old and came to us when her owner passed away.
She was a bit unsure of us to start but in the last couple of weeks has really come out of her shell and has learned to trust that we are her friends. She is a loving little lady now. She's had her vaccines, she's neutered and chipped and looking for a calm, quiet home to call her own.

Chilli, Jalapeño and Wasabi

Currently in foster but now ready for their forever homes. They are 5 months old, neutered and vaccinated.

Wasabi is the long hair who loves a fuss and a brush, Chilli has a cute white moustache and also loves fusses and a brush, Jalapeno is a little shy still but soon comes running when it's dinner time. They are all girls and love chasing each other to play.

With fireworks night just around the corner here a few tips to help keep your furry friend happy and safe. 🎆😺 1. Keep them indoors at night.🎆 2. Create a safe space indoors, maybe with a hiding space in a dark room to block out any lights (make sure they have access to food, water and a litter tray)🎆 3. Play music to help block out the noise. Classic fm will be playing 2 special programmes between 5pm and 9pm on Saturday 2nd and Tuesday 5th November.🎆 4. Distract them from loud noises by playing with them.🎆 5. Talk to your vet about calming supplements.🎆 6. Use a feliway or pet remedy plug in. Start using a few days before the fireworks start. A calming spray is also available to spray bedding etc.🎆 7. Make sure your cat is microchipped. This means that if they do get scared and run off, they will be able to be returned to you.🎆

We'll be at Pets At Home Port Talbot tomorrow and Sunday from 10am until 4pm to raise funds for the cats and kittens at the sanctuary. Why not pop down and see us to have a chat about volunteering, fostering or pick up one of our lovely crafts we'll have for sale. Hope to see you there 😻

These siblings were brought into us after being born outside. They have thrived at the sanctuary and are super sweet and loving. They are just over 3 months old and will need to be adopted together as they are bonded. They’ve had their first vaccination. Buddy & Mac We posted these boys a few days ago looking for their forever home. Their fosterer is working very hard with them but they were still a little bit shy. However, last night Mac decided that he does actually like a cwtch as you can see in the video. When applying for cats/kittens please do not be put off if they are shy or skittish, working with a cat to gain their trust can be truly rewarding. So why not take a chance on these cuties and welcome them into your home

Denise This sweet girl came into us pregnant and her babies have now found their homes. She’s just over a year old and very sweet. She has lots of energy and loves to zoom around her room. She’s been neutered. Denise isn’t a fan of the other cats in her room so would be suited to a home where she would be the only cat so she could lap up all the attention.
