πΎπΏ Important Wildlife Rescue Reminder πΏπΎ
Before stepping in to rescue wildlife, please stopβand consider whether intervention is truly necessary. Many young animals are often not abandoned, but simply waiting for their parents to return. Rescuing them unnecessarily can disrupt their natural life cycle.
If you encounter wildlife that appears to be injured or truly orphaned, please visit the Irish Wildlife Matters website for guidance on the best course of action: https://irishwildlifematters.ie/ π¦π¦‘π¦π¦π¦πΎ
General rule of thumb:
β It does NOT need to be rescued
- Young animals/birds that are seen away from their parents are not necessarily in trouble, especially if they are warm and appear active, healthy, and alert.
β
It needs to be rescued
- If you see an animal with obvious injuries or that is cold and limp, please call us on 0419810000 for advice before bringing it into the clinic for treatment.
