🎄 It’s almost here folks…🎄

Thank you to everyone who has enquired about Christmas. Some of our daytime slots are permanently booked for regulars however many of these will be released if not required. As such they won’t be available online so I’ll post them on here.

Tomorrow Christmas Eve slots will be released at 6pm

Thursday- Christmas Day slots will be released at 6pm.

Boxing Day will be released Friday at 6pm.

There will be extra slots over the festive period that I’m just collating and will also post on here.

Times that aren’t usually booked on a regular basis will be online as normal.

Phew 😮‍💨 that was a long one.

All that’s left to say is a HUGE thank you 🙏 It makes us so happy to know so many of you want to spend such a special time with us 🎅

Hi folks,

A reminder I’m afraid to make sure you pick up all your dog’s poo.

Please supervise your dogs closely at all times to ensure no dog poo is missed. This week poo has been found around the entrance, car park and holding gates. This is unacceptable.

Please also spend 5 minutes at the end of your session making sure the field is clean and tidy for the next visitor- make sure toys are away and you leave the cabin clean too. It’s only fair and is an important part of our terms of use.

🌊 pool update 🌊

Hi folks,

We’ve reached that time of year when we need to close the pool (it seems to have come around so fast…November already?!)

As most of you are already aware, we need to do this predominately for health & safety reasons. The water temperature becomes too cold to safely play in. It also becomes slippery with mud and wet leaves. This also gives us time to prepare the pool for spring.

Therefore the pool will close from Monday 10th November.

Hi Folks,

We are going to be away from October 25th until November 3rd. The field will remain open as always and looked after by family, however bookings will close at the end of today to allow me time to organise the calendar.

If you need to cancel your session during this time please just drop me a message and I’ll refund/reschedule as soon as I’m home. I won’t be contactable during this time but if you have an emergency please call 07534260766 (urgent only please) anything else I’ll respond after the 3rd.

Morning everyone,

Just a little reminder that we are on holiday from today until September 2nd. I’m afraid I’ll be uncontactable during this time but if you need to cancel a session just drop me a messsge and I’ll refund as soon as I’m home. I’m sorry I won’t be able to sort reschedules within this timeframe.

Our Story

Meet Sammy.

Back in 2001, our beautiful collie Sammy came into our lives. He was the softest, most loving dog that anyone could imagine which earnt him the nickname 'Baby'. We adored him. Yet sadly, despite his friendly and affectionate nature, Sammy had several issues which affected him. We adopted him at the age of two from a rescue centre and we quickly realised that Sammy was riddled with fear, no doubt from the abuse and neglect he had suffered which had been communicated to us. Thankfully it didn't take long for us to earn his trust and he showered us with love, but there were other much longer lasting effects. Sammy was terrified of other dogs; he would whimper and cry when he saw them and then quickly become quite aggressive. I think he thought 'attack' was the best form of defence! Walking Sammy was an absolute nightmare. Being a border collie, he had bags of energy and needed substantial exercise but allowing him the freedom to run off the lead was very risky and seldom happened. Even walks on the lead were not any easier as dogs would often approach despite my pleas with their owners. We were often met with dismissive shouts of 'don't worry they're friendly'. It was beyond stressful. Unfortunately, walking Sammy over the wonderful fourteen years we had with him didn't get any easier but somewhere like 'Sammy's Field' would have been life changing for him. So, he is the inspiration behind the field. We sincerely hope that we will be able to provide a safe environment for others to enjoy as much as I know our Sammy would have done. X
