We offer a service to people who have ponds or water features in our area.From making a pond from the start or getting it back up to standard. With helpful tips and years of practice we can make it a very simple step to make the pond you want.We also have second hand equipment from pumps to filters. Helpful fish advice too.

Hi to everyone who has been in touch or going too i just need to let you know it very busy at the moment and i am struggling to keep everyone posted or informed when i can visit or even sort their pond.I no I shouldn’t complain but I don’t like letting people down so this is to let you know what’s happening.
I will be able to do the work but would like people to be patient and understand my position,being a one man business with personal responsibility takes up time and i wish not to put customers off but except a bit of wait.Many thanks Jim JMP Pond service.

New wild life pond built over 7 days with the weather against us,but we managed just needs plants and more plants to get things started for this season.Fitted with a surface skimmer to collect floating waste which has a new design feature of a newt escape hatch if they find they got pulled in clever idea.

Three day pond clean,with a very large lily that took 80% of the volume of water,which we cut done and repotted fresh growth 3 new pots.Years of rotten debris at the bottom causing sour water quality which had to be baled out by hand with help from my trusty work mate Isaac job done.Pressure filter added with new compatible pump from Paddock Farm water gardens so hopefully help it over the next few years with a bit of maintenance from us.

Hello everyone,it’s been awhile since i have been at work on ponds this last year for one reason or another i had to take time out.I do apologise if i have let anyone down,and i must say i had no intention of doing so but had no choice a that time.
Over that time i had helped out at Paddock Farm water gardens at Dalton -on-tees which i must say is worth a visit.I have returned to my pond business which means full clean outs,re builds,lake Maintenance,plant packages and filter pump replacements or even new builds including wildlife ponds.
I have done it for a few years now and i would like new and old customers to take a moment and give me a chance to open the world of ponds,small a run business to give a personal but helpful service for the forthcoming season.
I would like to inform you i am also working with Paddock Farm to offer this service with any pond related work,which includes installation of ponds,equipment plants etc which they have a great selection and quality to suit everyone’s budget with helpful staff to help you create a water wonderland in your garden.
Nature is a big thing nowadays and that includes ponds, it will encourage such a huge range of wildlife into your own oasis for all the family,large or small or even a water feature it all helps.So if you need a hand please let me know many thanks Jim.

Oooh what’s this? 👀🕊️

We’re having a wonderful Wildlife Weekend on the 19th - 20th August, to celebrate the opening of our NEW Wildlife Garden 🤩🦔🕊️🐞

We’ll hopefully be joined by amazing charities such as the RSPB, the Wildlife Trust and the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust 🐞🕊️🦋

It’s going to be a weekend of fun and games, with activities such as Build a Bug Box and a raffle!

We’ll have a face painter here on the 20th August as well, to brighten up your faces with all things wildlife!

It’s a Free To Enter event with a lovely tea room and play area on site, fun for all the family! ❤️

JMP Pond Service is excited to announce we are looking for a new member to join our family team.The position will need the following experience
Full driving licence for company van and tipper
Interested in Ponds,water features and aquatic activities
Honest and reliable
Hard working and passionate in what they do
Unfortunately it’s seasonal so from March to November weather depending,but hope to keep work coming in so should be ok over this period.
Great wage to the right person which could include bonuses.
Exsperance is not essential as training can be given but will reflect on wage to start with.

Hi everyone,just a quick shout to see if anyone is or interested in Aquaponics?Due to the constant over production of our crops and constantly importing what we did produce or no longer cost effective,it’s a chance for local producers to bring back our own product to our table.

Natural wildlife pond is ready for next year,it was challenging because it had two slopes to manage.Top was the level but had a slope down the garden plus small lean too one side.
We managed just needing plants next spring and we are good to go.Last build for this year,just a few services to do then Christmas.
I would like to thank all my customers new and old and hopefully see you all next year.Something exciting is going to happen next year but all will be revealed in the new year.

One of my best customers decided to revamp her little pond to accommodate not so small goldfish and newts.
So we stripped down the old pond and put the fish in a temporary pool,then we had to fill in the old hole ready for the sleeper pond.
Pond was then constructed with a wetland planter suspended above the water which also was housing the water blade.Pressure filter with uv and pump installed along with five led lights,and a viewing tube for fish to swim above the waterline.
A small natural pond was then added on one corner for all her newts with a small fountain pump for airation
Everything looking great and I am sure fish will be too.
Even a local heron paid a visit already.

Nature pond installation, plenty of nice stone,plants and a little solar fountain just for aeration and sound.Garden was on a slight slope so oase edging used to create levels and lawn boundaries. Run off at the large stone area so the plants will be well watered when water level reaches max,only because the pond is surrounded by trees which is a great back drop but do take most of the water. Plenty of areas for wildlife to come and go so hopefully next year it will look even better.

Well it was a long hot day but managed to get the pond up and running with all the fish.New filter bays,fountains working a treat and skimmer doing its job.Looks great and the fish love it too.Job done

Electrics two 3 pumps,2 pumps powering Pro 50 pressure filters with 55watt uv followed by variflow 3000 with skimmer to the fountains.Set of 3 Oase aqua luna spot lights.
Tim did a amazing job re fitting the sand stone tops,just a bit of rendering on filter bays and black pond paint as the back drop to the amazing waterblades.

The last few weeks we had a very difficult job to do,full clean out on the large pond and new liner on the small pond.
Unfortunately the liner was over 25 years old and had to much tension causing minor rips near the inlet skimmers,what a nightmare fixing them.
After 3 large holding pools and 80m waste pipe and alot of headache it's holding water without a new liner,and small pond went well with natural stone waterfall and new edging. Next job sort the filters.
Lesson for all of us,Liners do not last a lifetime so check before work starts.
