♥️🐾😭So heartbreaking news, we had to make a hard decision today, we had to have Miss Angel put too sleep. She hadn’t made any progress and was going down hill, so whilst we are heartbroken, she is now pain free and has joined all her friends over the 🌈 bridge. She was the sweetest girl with the biggest personality and was always known as our “meet and greet” girl, a role she took very seriously. She is a huge loss to our own personal herd and has most definitely left her pawprints on our hearts. Run pain free little Miss Angel, we love you 😭🌈♥️🐾

♥️🐾We can’t believe it, we have hit 800 followers today. We only started the rescue about 18 months ago and it has just grown so much, we can’t thank each and everyone of you for all you support and love towards our rescue and all the amazing little fur babies that have come to us and then found amazing forever homes. Each and everyone of you are part of this rescue, it isn’t just us, its ALL of us that makes all this possible 🥰♥️🐾

♥️🐾So following on from Angel’s recent vets visit, she still isn’t using her back left leg despite high dose pain relief, so we are trying some hydrotherapy in the bath. As you can see after tonight’s session, she wasn’t impressed, with me or the towel 😡😡🐾🐾♥️♥️

♥️🐾Exciting news, Mr William finally has lots of girlfriends, his first day allowed to be with them after his neutering, and he looks so so happy, we couldnt be more thrilled for him, a huge thank you to his new mummy for giving him a future he deserves ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️🐾🐾

Absolutely brilliant course, they even included guinea pigs as I was there as it was meant to be about dogs and Cats. This was the first course so hopefully they will run it again soon, get yourself a place, it’s brilliant ♥️🐾

♥️🐾 So another vets visit today, this time with our very own “meet and greet” girl, the gorgeous Angel. She stopped weight bearing on her left leg over the weekend, still eating, drinking and all things piggie apart from walking. We kept her on pain relief and she saw the lovely Jenny at Magnolia House today. After X-rays it seems she has severe arthritis of her left knee so the pain relief will continue for at least a month and see how she goes, she is 5&1/2 years young and a long term foster girl in our rapidly growing “piggy nursing home” 🥰 To say she has enjoyed being hand fed her fav veg would be an understatement. We just hope the pain relief works and she will be back to her usual meet and greet girl soon. ♥️🐾

♥️🐾 No shows ♥️🐾

As most of you know, we both work full time plus to support our self funded rescue. We always make sure we can make room for any piggie, our adoptions fees are put straight into our vets account and everything else is funded by our own money. We put a lot of love, care and pride into the care we give all the piggies. We often, after a long day at work, don’t sit down to eat ourselves until about 10pm having cleaned, fed, hay etc but such is rescue which we love. We don’t have fosterers, all the piggies are homed at our own home of which we welcome potential adopters in. So given all that above, we still always try and accommodate potential adopters needs to visit but yet again today, a no show for an arranged visit, no message to say they weren’t coming, nothing. It’s just common courtesy to just say they can’t make it, no judgement here, just lots of piggies that need us and our time, so please just let us know 🐾♥️

♥️🐾A huge thank you to Hockeys Farm Shop, who not only have given a wonderful home to some of our piggies but have also had one of our collection boxes and Laura just popped round with £100 from donations which will be put onto our account at our vets as our adoption fees do. We can’t thank them enough for this and also giving our piggies such a wonderful life ♥️🐾

♥️🐾Some sad news today regards little Truffle. We took her back to the vets today for a check up, having been on high dose antibiotics, strong pain relief and probiotics for her likely neck abscess. It seems despite all our efforts, the infection had spread to her jaw which would have meant numerous operations, life long antibiotics but also likely pain. We made the heartbreaking decision to let her have her forever sleep and join all her piggy friends over the rainbow bridge where she will be happy and wheek to her hearts content. She was such a little angel and her paw prints will be on our hearts forever. ❤️‍🩹😢♥️🐾

♥️🐾Meet Tinker and Belle, Arthur and Merlin’s sisters, 5 weeks old today. They will be available for adoption but not for another 3 weeks. They are currently in our own herd where they are learning all things piggy from their aunties. These photos were when they were only one day old, they won’t sit still long enough at the mo for a photo 🤣♥️🐾

♥️🐾Sam (silver) aged 12 months came into rescue having fallen out with his brother, so Sam has a chunk of his ear missing but it doesn’t distract from his good looks. He is such a lovely boy who has really gained confidence since little Dean joined him here at the rescue. Sam is so protective of little Dean, it’s the cutest thing. Looking for their forever home for lots of love and cuddles ♥️🐾

♥️🐾So meet Mr Ronnie, the rescues oldest permanent resident, almost 10 years young, and this is his evening ritual, EVERY NIGHT. He likes to see what’s on the menu before he makes his choice. Tonight he chose pepper for his starter followed by an extra BIG portion of mixed vegetables, Ronnie’s Sunday roast 🤣♥️🐾

♥️🐾Update on Mr William♥️🐾

So Mr W has been making such a good recovery post neutering that his new mummy, Lynsey, has taken him home where he will, in 4 weeks, have the pickings of lots of girlfriends. We are so thrilled for him and know he is going to have a wonderful life ahead of him, full of love and cuddles and thats just with his new mummy. For the time being, he will gaze over his girls from his balcony. Watch out Juliet’s, Romeo will be with you soon 🥰♥️🐾

♥️🐾So little Truffle has come in to the rescue with a query neck abscess. After a trip to the vets it’s one of 2 things.
1 Cervical lymphadenitis
2. Tooth root abscess
We are hoping it’s the first one as hopefully with high dose antibiotics and pain relief, she will make a full recovery. However, if it’s the tooth root abscess, it will be a reoccurring issue as one tooth is already damaged and likely a life time of issues so a hard decision may have to be made 😢. We are thinking positively for this little sweetheart and hoping the antibiotics do the trick, as you can see, she takes her medicine like a little trooper. We mix it with ribena to take away the horrrid taste and also it gives a boost of vitamin C. Got everything crossed for sweet little truffle and will keep everyone updated of course 🤞🤞🤞♥️🐾

We have just heard from our vets that an anonymous doner has paid a very generous amount into our account there. We can’t thank you enough for this having had a few trips there recently and more planned. We don’t know who you are and we respect your wish to remain anonymous but we couldn’t not thank you 🥰🥰. This means such a lot to us, I was speechless when I heard- which is a rarity for those who know me 🤣🤣. We pay our adoption fees into our account there so every penny gets used on the piggy’s, the remainder of the costs we cover from both working full time plus, so this donation really takes the pressure off us if any piggies need a little trip to the vets. ♥️🐾A huge thank you from all the piggies for more donations from their Amazon wish list this week. With a lot of vet bills this month and more to come, these donations make such a huge difference to the piggies, treats like pea flakes filling their tummy’s, hay cubes create stimulation , grass tubes playtime, carrot houses apparently taste so good and of course pellets that provide them with part of their daily vitamin C, thank you so very much from the bottom of our hearts and the piggies full tummy’s ♥️🐾

♥️🐾Health checks today and look at what little tubby boy weighs now, amazing since he was under 300 grams on arrival, he doesn’t stop eating though and always on the look out for peppers, basil, parsley or grapes that may just be going past his mouth, we have also had to move his set up for a better view of the TV🤣, our little miracle boy 😇♥️🐾

♥️🐾Pixie and Nova, 2 cute little girls looking for their forever hooman. Pixie is approx 13 weeks whilst little Nova approx 6 -7 weeks young. Both currently together in a herd but would need to stay together as bonded. They are little characters who show no fear 🤣♥️🐾

♥️🐾Alfie and Moon. These gorgeous boys are our longest residents and would really love a lap to sit on and lots of cuddles. They are only just over a year and have spent 9 months with us. Someone somewhere must have a comfy lap to offer ♥️🐾
