It’s interesting to read opinions regarding horse welfare and riders taking more responsibility!
The Charlotte Dujardin scandal was the latest in a long line of equine controversies and, perhaps, we should get out of the saddle for good
Can I wear 2 Equiseat Aids? YES! ✅
This is something a lot of people don’t know. If you, like some people, have a tendancy to grip the saddle with both thighs, this can prevent you from using your lower leg. Therefore, by putting an Equiseat Aid on both legs you will relax your hips, engage both seatbones equally, and in turn be able to use your lower leg much more effectively.
How can I tell if I am unstraight in the saddle?🐴
Here are seven commons signs that will indicate how:
1) Your horse is struggling to bend more on one rein than the other.
2) Your horse has more difficulty striking off one leg into canter than the other.
3) When jumping, your horse tends to drift the same way.
4) Your saddle is slipping to one side.
5) You feel like one stirrup is longer than the other.
6) Your horse is sore on one side of its body, rather than the other.
7) Your horse is carrying its tail to one side.
Any of these signs could indicate that you and your horse are sitting crooked in the saddle. So, the Equiseat Aid could help you!

We would like to wish Ruth (Equiseat Aid’s co-founder & director) a HUGE Happy Birthday! 🥳🎈
Thank you for all you do for Equiseat Aid, and for all of us as individuals. We hope you’ve had the day you deserve! 🫶🏻
Why did we make the Equiseat for children? After seeing the success of the Equiseat Aid for adults, we thought, why would we NOT make these for children? If we can teach children from a young age to start learning about straightness and where their bodies are, are we not setting them and their future ponies/horses up for an easier time? Let us know your thoughts 💭Head to the website for more information or to shop yours 🛒

Read our short new blog 'Changes', where we delve into the conversation of the difficulty of altering our riding after being stuck in those same old ways for such a long time.
"Think of it as your seat being like a triangle; it’s a strong shape but what if one of the points wouldn’t stay put? What if it had a muscle or group of muscles pulling it into a different position? The strong shape would be weakened and the stability of the seat would be compromised."

In our industry, equine welfare is paramount💙
The Equiseat Aid was made with horses wellbeing at the forefront. The aim is to help the rider to sit straight, and in balance, so that they are sitting on the horse equally on both sides - meaning the horse can carry the riders weight over its whole body without putting an increased amount of strain/pressure on one side. Therefore, the horse has less physical pain and can, long-term, build up their muscles equally on both sides of their body!
If you have any questions about the Equiseat Aid, or how it could help you, please don’t hesitate to get in touch! 📱

How much money do you spend each year just to keep your horse “on the road”?
Farrier: £200–£800
Vets: Vaccinations, check-ups, etc. – at least a few hundred pounds
Physio: £500
Dentist: £100
Given these expenses, does £69/£79 for an aid that can last a long time and potentially reduce your physio and vet fees sound like a lot?
This one-off cost can promote your horse’s good physical health and longevity!💫
Why is straightness important when riding? 🐎
As a ridden horse, their bodies are put under a lot of strain. Particularly their muscles - especially in the back - and joints, which impacts the hind legs and hocks.
Horses and riders are both naturally more dominant on one side of their body. Sometimes, the horse may encourage you over to one particular side, making you more dominant that way too, and similarly the rider may be so dominant on one side that they encourage the horse to be that way too. A bit of a chicken and egg situation!
A straight horse will be physically and mentally in balance, symmetrically and muscularly fit which will allow them to be supple and strong and carry the rider without putting too much strain on their bodies.
As a rider, it is so important that we take responsibility to be as straight and as aware of our bodies as we can be, because if we’re not straight then how can we expect our horses to be?
By the simple use of the Equiseat Aid and understanding how it can improve your straightness and stability, you are able to help yourself and your horse long-term.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions!💫
You wouldn’t ride without your saddle, so why ride without your Equiseat Aid?
It is the simplest piece of equipment to wear but also SO effective. There is zero faffing with the Equiseat Aid - just strap it around your leg and off you go.
What are you waiting for? Try it now. 🙌🏻

Have you heard of the Equiseat Aid but been sceptical about how it could help you?
Just read below 👇🏻 and if you have ANY of these issues then we can help!
1. Does your saddle consistently sit or slip to one side or the other?
2. Do you find your horse bends and moves more freely on one rein compared to the other?
3. Does your horse suffer from muscle atrophy (wastage?)
4. Are you struggling with rider straightness and stability in the saddle?
5. Do you habitually twist or move your weight on the approach, over and landing of a fence.
Head to our website to read more: https://equiseataid.com/pages/common-rider-use-cases
Has your physio ever told you that your horse is ‘wonky’? Do they drop one side of their body more than the other?
What if we said the Equiseat Aid could be the answer to resolving this problem? 🤔
Horses may naturally drop one side of their body, therefore training the rider to drop to that side too. In other cases a ‘crooked’ rider can make a horse drop more one side over the other making that side weaker.
In either case, the Equiseat Aid will enable the rider to stay more over to the strong side of the horse, therefore allowing more movement in the ‘weak’ side allowing muscle to build up under the saddle, eventually making the saddle and horse level/balanced. 🤩
So simple when you think about it!🔥
Can I wear my Equiseat Aid to jump? YES!
Here’s why👇🏻
🌟It helps you keep your horse straight at take off, over the fence and landing.
🌟It helps to get the horse to take off evenly off both hind legs.
🌟It can help you to land on the correct canter lead, if this is something you struggle with.
🌟In a line of fences, it can stop you from drifting.
🌟The more you wear it in every discipline, the straighter you will be!
Do you think the Equiseat Aid could help you?
“The Equiseat Aid has changed my riding! I always struggled with my balance and found it way more difficult to get the same suppleness on the right rein as I could get on the left rein. The Equiseat Aid has taught my body where straight is and has evened me up so that my horse can move freely and equally on both reins. I wore it regularly to start with and now my body is so used to where straight is, I only have the revisit occasionally to make sure I haven’t reverted. My horse now needs less physio treatments and has built up muscle equally on both sides of her body, making her so much stronger in every phase. THANK YOU EQUISEAT AID!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️” - Riders discipline is eventing.
- A glowing customer review showing just how effective the Equiseat Aid can be.
Welcome to all our new followers 🥰👋
For those of you who are still unsure about what the Equiseat Aid is and what it does, this post if for you!
The Equiseat Aid was designed to help the rider sit straight and balanced in the saddle. You attach it to your stronger leg to stop you gripping up, which in turn engages your weaker side, levelling you up in the saddle.
The Equiseat Aid, almost all the time, shows instant results, such as instantly becoming straighter and more supple. However, the best thing about the Equiseat Aid is that it trains your muscles without you having to always consciously think about it. It usually takes 6 weeks of consistent wear to build up your muscle memory so that when you take it off you will be sitting much straight and in natural balance without having to always rely on the Equiseat Aid.
Common results from wearing the Equiseat Aid include:
💫Reduced back pain & fewer physio treatments for horse AND rider!
💫More supple outline as a result of your horse being able to work more freely over his/her back.
💫Horses are able to bend through the body more easily as the Equiseat Aid restricts the rider from blocking one side of their body.
PLUS MANY MORE HUGE BENEFITS!🤩
If this is something you think could help you, please don’t hesitate to get in touch, or head to our website to buy!⭐️

How do I wear the Equiseat Aid?This is a really common question with a really simple answer… watch the video to see how! 🙌🏻 #howto #equiseataid #riderstraightness #makeachange #howtofit
This video shows just how effective the Equiseat Aid is at helping the rider to keep the horse straight. This horse is wanting to push all his weight over to the right and fall out through his right shoulder. However, with the help of the Equiseat Aid, the rider is placed in a position that engages the correct part of both the horse and riders body to allow the horse to become much straighter. With long-term use of the Equiseat Aid, this straightness will become natural for both horse and rider. #equiseataid #equiseataidrider #equinebiomechanics #horsestraightness #riderbiomechanics #ridersofinstagram #horsesofinstagram #horseandrider #equinewelfare #straightnessinthesaddle #riderposition #horsebiomechanics #equinestraightness #makeachange
Do you struggle with straightness in the saddle? 🐴 WE CAN HELP! The Equiseat Aid has been designed to help the rider to sit straight and balanced in the saddle. It is attached to your stronger leg to stop you gripping up, which in turn engages your weaker side, levelling you up in the saddle. Unlike other equestrian training products, that focus solely on the horse, the Equiseat Aid focusses on the rider but delivers optimum benefit to the ridden horse. Our goal was to produce a product that fulfilled our passion – to help as many horses and rider combinations with as little intervention as possible, other than to support the rider and train good muscle memory and habits; a product that can be used when training at home, in lessons and hacking out etc.It is for riders of any level, from happy hackers to advanced event riders and top-class dressage riders, and, for both children & adults. DO YOU WANT RESULTS LIKE THIS? Take a look at this before & after. The results are instant after outting on the Equiseat Aid. You can see that the rider falls out to the right which will be impacting the way that the horse moves and bends. By popping the Equiseat Aid onto her left leg, it opens the left hip, engaging the left seat bonewhich in turn enagges the right side of her body, making her straighten up in the saddle. Naturally, the longer you wear your Equiseat Aid, the straughter you will become - so the more regularly and consistently you use it, the better! What would you like to know about the Equiseat Aid? How do I know which leg to wear my Equiseat Aid on? Well, the answer is fairly straight forward usually. If you fall out to the right and grip up with your left leg, wear the Equiseat Aid on your left leg. Similarly, if you fall out to the left and grip up with your right leg, wear the Equiseat Aid on your right leg. As you can see in this clip, Lottie slips quite obviously out to the left, therefore she wears it on her right leg. If you are struggling or just want some help, all you have to do is send us a little clip of you riding on both reins from behind and we can advise you on which leg to wear the Equiseat Aid on. Just PM or email us.💫
We have something exciting COMING SOON…👀🎥Any guesses? #equiseataid #riderstraightness #riderbiomechanics #eventrider
AS OFTEN AS YOU CAN! When you start wearing the Equiseat Aid, you may see results instantly, although those results might quickly fade if you only wear it once. The more you wear it, the more your muscle memory will build up and it will train you where to sit correctly in the saddle! By about 6 weeks (of consistent wear), your muscle memory should have improved significantly and you will notice a huge difference to your straightness and position in the saddle when you remove the Equiseat Aid. In terms of disciplines, you can wear the Equiseat Aid anytime! To hack, jump, flatwork etc. The more you wear it, the quicker you will see results! ✅If you have any other questions, please leave them in the comments or DM us. #equiseataid #riderstraightness

Consistency is key! 🔑 If you want to get the best out of your Equiseat Aid, you must try your best to follow these rules when you start wearing it! No matter what discipline, what horse or what sort of rider you are, you must be prepared to wear the Equiseat Aid until you start to feel a difference. Sometimes the results show straight away, sometimes your horse needs time to adjust to your different position on their backs, but if you are prepared to allow the Equiseat Aid to help you, you will get there! ✨ If you have any questions at all, please get in touch and we will answer them as quickly as possible!😊 #equiseataid #stayconsistent #straightriderstraighthorse #riderstraightness
