I wonder how many years this chart needs to keep being posted out there, for people to actually take it seriously??... 🤔 A lot of people AND "professional" dog walkers out there right now, gambling with dogs lives. I dont get angry, and it takes a lot to annoy me, but this... this really gets to me!
There are rare circumstances like people with flats who need to take their dog for a quick loo break, and some dogs are rescues from much hotter countries, I get that.. but not the amount of dogs im seeing out right now all fall in those categories.. every year there's posts where dogs have died from heat stroke, and most of them the owners don't have a clue what to do in that situation to help save their dog. Its too late by then, you have to stand there and watch your dog die an exrutiating death. Im just getting so infuriated by this 😭 My dogs are my absolute world, it's a shame not every dog owner or walker feels the same way 😢😢

🌡🌞🌡 We're going to say it ONE MORE TIME as the temperature soars again - NO DOG DIED FROM NOT GOING FOR A WALK... 🌡🌞🌡

Here at Willow Vets we have heard from many clients over the last few weeks who, out of concern, have confronted owners of dogs out for a walk when the temperature was far too high. Answers have ranged from 'they always go out at this time' to 'they (the dog) wanted to go for a walk to 'this is the only time I could take them out'!!! 😱😱😱

NONE OF THESE ARE A GOOD ENOUGH REASON TO RISK YOUR DOG'S LIFE!!!!

So we say again - if you are in any doubt that the temperature is too high to safely walk your dog DO NOT TAKE THEM OUT - they may be cross about it but we'd much rather you have a grumpy-but-alive furbaby than a dead one 😢😢😢

Please please share again everyone - help us to help furbabies everywhere xx
