WARNING ⚠️ Oldham Road, Rishworth!!!
Astrid has just been rushed to the vets. There was waste from a cannabis grow dumped on the A672 Oldham road. What three words https://w3w.co/companies.afflict.afford

We had no idea she'd eaten anything until she started showing symptoms. When we've gone back just now, there's what looks like two cow pats just on the path but it's not, it stinks of cannabis. Luckily she is back home now sleeping it off but a smaller dog may not be so lucky.

Please avoid the area, we have reported it to the council.

Hird and Partners thanks for looking after Astrid.

It's been well worth the time and effort getting her into this condition. She's much happier now but also has bags more energy! Lucky I love that about her and she does a lot of training to help her channel it!

Sorry I've been quiet and a bit delayed in getting back to people this past week, poor Astrid had to have dental surgery yesterday!!!!
It's just 7 weeks since she was in for her surgery to remove two lumps. These past two months have just been very mean to us! I I feel so sorry for her but she's feeling much better today so onwards and upwards 🥰

I'm currently working on my final modules of my Level 6 Advanced Diploma in Applied Animal Behaviour. I'm conducting a fascinating research project, exploring breed-specific differences in arousal and persistence but I can’t do it without your help.

What I need from you:

Some snippets from a lovely Google review, left by a client who has just come to the end of their training package with me. I was called out to help with lead walking but it quickly became apparent the clients were struggling with quite a few other challenges too. This little dog is very high energy, is rarely still and as a teenager, struggles to focus and self-regulate. Amazing progress has been made and I am very proud of them all, there is still work to do but I am glad the clients now feel they have a plan to follow going forwards😍

This morning, I had the pleasure of meeting his fantastic guardians for their initial consultation, and we’re all excited to kick off our training journey together! ⭐

The consultation may not sound glamorous, but it’s such an important step. It helps me dig into how problem behaviours develop and uncover all the little factors that could be contributing to them.

Every dog is unique, which is why I tailor my training to suit their individual needs. Getting to know them on a deeper level is absolutely key to creating a successful plan.

I can’t wait to meet this gorgeous boy and his lovely family in person in the new year! Until then, they’ve got plenty of homework to keep them busy, and I’m excited to see the progress they make. ❤️

What a wonderful way to wrap up the week! 🌟

I had the pleasure of doing an online session with the guardians of these two cuties, and just look at them — aren’t they absolutely adorable? 🐾❤️

Bringing a new puppy into the home can be a big adjustment, especially for the older dog. It can be a bit of a stressful time as they adjust to their new companion. Today, we discussed strategies to make the transition smoother and to lower stress levels in the household. 🐶💡

We’ve also put a solid plan in place to ensure their bond continues to grow positively. I can’t wait to meet these two and their wonderful family in the New Year and to see all the progress they’ve made! 🎉
