All the work we do caring individually for hens and roosters, Going to fairs to educate. Local home calls to help with advice or collections, building or buying items and feed for their care is self funded and voluntary.

We really appreciate every postcard brought or lettuce donated as it all helps massively.

Coco pictured in their walker is now 5 years old and age is catching up .

(Just to start, We are not against people eating chicken just some places are kinder then others when it comes to their growth and quality of life)

Coco sadly was a good example of a bad situation.

At less then a year old Coco lost the ability to walk due to injections to enhance appetite, They were one of many others breed as meat birds, this was unusual for this breed,

It took months of rehabilitation teaching coco to walk again and strick diet but we eventually got there.

In Cocos old age their not as stable as they once were, but we do still take coco for supported walks outside of using the new walker. The walker is more to stop coco falling and hurting themself while unsupervised .

Here is a small snippet into the life of one of our forever hens and rooster.
