Gorgeous Nova came in for her first princess pamper at Barks & Bubbles Dog Grooming, and she did amazing 🤩!! She absolutely loved having a little spa day, and I loved having her in with me. She gave me little kisses and snuggles throughout her groom too 🥰. She had a nice big bubble bath, a blowdry, tidy around her eyes, hygiene and pads done. She smelt absolutely gorgeous when she left! All my life I have dreamt of working with animals, but have always doubted myself & put myself down. I didn’t want to go back to college at my age and study, as I felt like my time at college had already passed, as I’d already been twice before studying something else! But when I see videos like this, seeing how far I’ve come, I think how proud I am of myself, and so glad that I did. I went back to college to study veterinary nursing, and was one of the eldest in my class. I didn’t let it stop me! I then did my placement in a dog groomers, as vets weren’t taking anyone on through covid. That’s where I found my love for dog grooming, and decided to do a grooming course. 3 years later, here I am. Self employed, meeting new beautiful doggies every day, making new friends within my own customers, and building my confidence every single day. It doesn’t stop here, I have more ambitions & goals, and won’t stop until I get there! 🐶♥️
I have always put pressure on myself, on trying to figure out who I am and what I want to do as a career. I knew I wanted to work with animals, but didn’t know what type of work. All I knew is I wanted to do something I was passionate about and that gave me purpose. I can hand on heart say that finally, at 29 years old, I have found my perfect career. Some days are hard, just like in any job, but when you are lucky enough to have doggies with all types of personalities, cheer you up like this… it makes it so worth it! 🐶🥰
My advice to anyone out there who still doesn’t even know what you want to do as a career/job. No matter if you’re younger or older.
👉🏼Don’t give up
👉🏼Believe in yourself
👉🏼Don’t compare yourself to others, it will happen for you when it’s supposed to happen
👉🏼It won’t come to you, if you want it enough, GO GET IT!
👉🏼Dream BIG, start small, but most of all START!
