We were very lucky to get the opportunity to become one of the first visitors to the brand new today, and oh my god, I loved it!!!

The old rottie girl wasn't too sure, and the French hound did well, considering it was her very first experience of water. Teddy showed off his true, to breed, water loving swimming.

We will definitely be back!!

What an amazing place that has been created by two highly recommended walker/trainers.

Get booked in soon, this place is going to be a big big hit!!

Normally most households have 1 or 2 dogs for me to walk.

Not people in the dog sport world πŸ˜…. 8 gorgeous flyball pups in for walks for the next few days. So speedy and a total credit to their owners πŸ₯°

A few of you guys have asked about canicross in the past as you know this is something i regularly do with my own dogs that also takes us around the country at different events. I am really pleased to announce that
My lovely canicross friend Amanda Allen-Maher is a certified canicross coach she has just released her website and fb please pop over and take a look, Amanda has been a wealth of knowledge and I have turned to her many times for advice. Canicross is an awesome activity to do with you dog.

Looking at home boarding for your doggo this year?

Get in early!

These two ladies do a fantastic job, i know of lots happy doggos that have stayed with them over the years. Unfortunately Natalie at pawfect walks had her business fb hacked πŸ˜• πŸ₯² and has lost all of her reviews, photos and memories. Please do head over and give her page a like.

Going into the new year where people are booking holidays and are looking for trusted boarders to look after your fur baby, I would just like to make you all aware that it is a legal requirement to have a licence to board dogs in the boarders own home! πŸ“„

Any insurance is totally void without it! ❌️

Below is a link to find boarding companies that are on the councils register and their star rating aswell as the amount of dogs they are allowed at any one time ⬇️

Rescues across England are quickly running out of time and options in helping save as many XL Bully’s from euthanasia as possible.

It’s an unprecedented and almost impossible struggle to find suitable and safe places for Bully dogs before the December 31st deadline.

If YOU own an XL please don’t dump them, they need you, their owners, to stand by them. Follow the guidance, register and keep them.

It’s time for people to step up.

If you abandon them now in the majority of cases you will be signing their death warrant.

Please be kind to ALL kinds.

Good morning

Just a quick post.

You will see lots of people talking about the temperature and what's considered safe, some will go out very early when temperatures are lower and yes I get my dogs out very early.

But one very important thing to remember is humidity !! High humidity makes it very difficult for a dog to cool down.

For example is currently 17Β° but humidity is 95%.

This is not safe for the dogs to be chasing a ball for half an hour. Or charging around. Please be mindful of what activities you are doing in the earlier/later hours.

I am definitely not saying to walk when hotter with lower humidity but to just be
Mindful.

Some dogs do need more outlet ( Belgium malinois owner here)
Step up the 1-2-1 training, brain games frozen treats 😊

It's heating up today.

Me and my boys were out super early this morning and they enjoyed the fans on return to the car.

As always we take heat very seriously and will always air on the side of caution ⚠️ to keep all the dogs safe. At the moment we have low humidity on ourside for the coming week but will regularly be checking the forecasts.

Those that have been with is for many summers will know we get the dogs out early, and will do house visits from midday if needed. We always have plenty of water with us, distance and speed will be dependent on the heat. And of course the woods are alway cooler until early afternoon so we will be taking advantage of that.

Please show me what the pups are up to today.

This was my boys first thing.

It's so lovely to welcome Dolly back to walks for the week.
Dolly can be very nervous of loud noises so it's best to keep the long line attached as you never can be sure.
Friday I was told by Alfies mum that him and Dolly were the best of friends πŸ’“ so it was only right that they get the chance to walk together and also to make Dolly feel safer. Gorgeous Ted is with us aswell.πŸΎπŸ•πŸ₯°

And a special mention to Ted for not needing his long line and generally being a star this week πŸΎπŸ•

Here are 5 things I wish everyone knew about reactive dogs:

1️⃣ Reactivity is a response, not a personality trait: Reactive dogs aren't inherently "bad" or "aggressive." Their reactivity is a reaction to certain triggers, which can be managed and improved through positive training and behaviour modification. 🐾🌟

2️⃣ Fear, overexcitement and anxiety drive reactivity: Reactive dogs often experience fear, overexcitement, anxiety, or a sense of being overwhelmed. Understanding their emotional state helps us approach them with empathy, allowing us to support and help them navigate their fears. πŸ’™

3️⃣ They need consistent and patient guidance: Reactive dogs thrive with clear boundaries, structure, and positive reinforcement training. Consistency and patience are key as we provide them with the tools and skills they need to succeed. 🎯

4️⃣ Reactive dogs can learn and grow: With proper training and socialisation, reactive dogs can make tremendous progress. Their journey is filled with small victories and milestones, reminding us that they have the potential to become confident and balanced dogs. 🌈

5️⃣ They crave acceptance and love: Reactive dogs long for acceptance, just like any other dog. By embracing their individuality and offering them a safe and understanding environment, we can nurture their trust and build a deep bond based on love and compassion. ❀️

πŸ’ͺ Let's spread the word and shatter the myths surrounding reactive dogs. By sharing this knowledge, we can inspire others to approach these incredible animals with empathy and create a world where reactive dogs are valued for their resilience and potential. What's one thing you wish people knew about your reactive dog?
