Update! 📣

I have had to amend my prices / services for drop in visits. I have found 15 minute drop in visits isn't enough time for a dog and their needs.

I have found myself going over to 30 minutes. This leaves me out of pocket, and making me late for my following booking.

The same with cats, if I am cleaning out a second litter tray - this takes up more of my time. So, I have extended the drop in service, which is only a couple of pounds price wise. This just allows me to dedicate the correct time per pet 🐱🐶

I hope you all understand 🐾

Drop in visits / walks for the next two weeks for this cocker spaniel, and what a treat it will be!

Jess's pawrents have gone away, however they do have family members staying at their house. My drop in visits / walks are perfect for when you go away, but perhaps the people who are staying at your house - don't particularly have the time to dedicate to a walk, or their work commitments get in the way during the day.

6 drop in visits for Zula (pictured) and Simba (who is a little shy for a picture) - I have the pleasure of looking after these, plus the fish until Tuesday! 🐠

They are the sweetest, and of course full of absolute mischief!! 🤪

A drop in visit includes checking in on your dog(s), playing in the garden, making sure water is present & feeding if required 🦴

Did you know I have been dog walking for 3 years! 😯

Originally being based in Dorset & Somerset where I gained my experience - now having moved to Devon a few months ago, I'd never have imagined I would've followed this through to setting up G's Paws - Play & Stay 🐾

It has been so wonderful meeting pet owners along with either their dogs or cats 🐕 🐈‍⬛

Yesterday was absolutely scorching!! 🥵

I offer dog drop in visits in general anyway, so this is always an option rather than a walk in the hot weather. I can let your dog(s) in the garden, top up the water & feed if required! 🍖

📣 GENTLE REMINDER 📣

G's Paws - Play & Stay offer the following services:

- 1 to 1 walks only; perfect for dogs who are slightly nervous, possibly reactive or just prefer 1 to 1 attention 🐾 (maximum 2 dogs / household).

- 15 minute drop in services - to check on your dog(s); includes letting out in the garden for a toilet break and feed if required.

Walks are either booked in a 30 minute or 1 hour sessions, this includes & broken up into the following within the time booked;

- Walk 🦮
- Feed - (given medication if required) 🦴
- Cool down (to make sure your dog settles after a walk and feels content before I leave) 🤗

I do not offer:

- Boarding (overnight stays)
- Group walks
- Travelling in my car to far away destinations for walks
- Walks for 3 or more dogs per household

It's Sunday, which means only one thing.. working out the diary! 📔

📢 July 2024 availability as below.

Please note: I do not offer during the week (Monday - Friday) appointments, as some of you may know I juggle this business with being a livestock administrator! 🐑🌱 - however, I may be able to help with offering quick drop in services, i.e 15 minute (Cranbrook only) appointments during the week. However, these would have to be after 4pm.

The weekends are being snapped up, I have some sessions available next weekend - so please drop me a message if you're interested in booking any of those.

Regarding August, please be organised with this month - lots of enquiries & bookings. Hoping to post the August availability within the next couple of weeks 🗓️

Here we have lovely Rose 🌹

Rose's pawrent booked her in for an hours walk yesterday evening and a half hour session this morning.

We had such fun exploring, Rose is 10 - can you believe it? 😯 She looks fab!!

We opted for slow and steady walks, of which we both throughly enjoyed. It always helps when the weather is playing ball! ☀️

I always finish a walk with a 10 minute cool down, whether that be a cuddle in the house or a sit down in the garden. This is to ensure a dog feels settled and content before I leave 🐾

As the temperatures are starting to increase.. with it reaching 24 degrees on Sunday - be mindful about what times you are walking your dog(s) ☀️

In regard to bookings, currently most of my clients are booking morning slots (before midday) and / or evening slots after 4pm. This is recommended as we are now in summer, especially in July & August.

If the temperature is too hot, I will simply not walk a dog during particular times of the day - the last thing I would want to do is put any animal in danger.

Meet Storm 💥

I had the pleasure of walking Storm for an hour slot yesterday and then again popping in for a half hour slot in the evening 🐶

She was an absolute gem to walk; lots of sniffing, walking & exploring 🐾

Lots of praise given during our walk, with a few treats here and there 🦴

We finished our walk by topping up the water bowl and having a cuddle 🤗

Out and about in "Ottie's" field 🐕

Ottie is unfortunately classed as 'reactive' where she feels uncomfortable around most dogs, unless they are a Labrador strangely enough.

She may woof, put her hackles up or make it known she doesn't want a dog to get close to her.

Ottie is off lead today, as we are in a private field where she is allowed and no other dogs will be.

However when on lead, I am always on the lookout and if close to a dog - I will cross the road or walk a different direction. I prefer to do this personally to make the walk as enjoyable for the dog without putting them in a situation that will upset them.

Most people don't know but a yellow lead or band indicates for dogs not to approach. Some of my clients don't have a yellow lead, however I do have the 'no dogs' bright yellow band that I can slide on their lead - to make other dog owners aware 🐾

It is so important when choosing someone to care for your pets, that they have the relevant documentation in place, i.e Insurance is a must!

I always make sure a meet & greet is planned and in place, prior to any first ever bookings.

A meet & greet involves finding out more about your lovely pets, so then I can get to know their characteristics too.

A few questions will be asked by myself, to jot down in my notes 📝 .. I like to give my clients peace of mind, showing them my relevant insurance documents and certificates. I also have a new client form to be filled out 🐾

Pippa joined G's Paws - Play & Stay and had her first booking this weekend.

She loves a good walk and really is the sweetest 🐶

A drop in 30 minute visit; topping up the water bowl, a 15 minute walk around the block and of course a play in the garden too. We even had a couple of spectators!! 🦆🦆

I have had lots of enquiries, along with questions. So, I thought I would pop the question, along with the answer below:

Q: Do you house sit?
A: I am afraid not, I have this business along with working as a livestock administrator during the week 🐑. My availability is Saturdays, Sundays & Bank Holidays. However, if you do require for someone to pop in during the week on a late evening, I may be able to help! So please feel free to enquire.

Q: Am I insured?
A: Yes, I have insurance with PetPlan. Along with a canine first aid certificate ⛑️🐶

Q: Can I just book in at last minute?
A: This depends on how last minute, new clients do require a meet & greet prior to any booking - this is so I can meet your dog(s) as well as you. I have documents to show and relevant paperwork to fill out. However, if this is all sorted - then any last minute bookings are welcomed. Drop me a message, and I will always see what I can do to help. Although, advanced bookings will always come first 😊

Q: What area do you cover?
A: I cover Cranbrook, Rockbeare & Whimple 🗺️

Q: How long have you had experience with dogs?
A: 3 years! I have my own Labrador and in that time have spent long periods house sitting, dog sitting / dog walking prior to moving to Devon.
