Gorgeous Grooming By Amy offers a professional dog grooming service in Ross-on-wye. Hi I'm Amy. Im also the pack leader to Roo and Maya our crazy, lazy lurchers.

I started my grooming journey 12 years ago and I strive to continue to learn and enjoy grooming every day. Gorgeous Grooming by Amy will be my second salon after I sold the original Gorgeous Grooming to have an extended maternity leave and enjoy some more quality family time. I have two beautiful young daughters, Felicity and Melody and the most handsome husband Andy who is my biggest cheerleader

and much needed tech support. I'm sure you will all meet them over the coming months. As a Ross girl I'm incredibly excited to have my own little salon in my home town again and I can't wait to see some new and old faces. I believe being a dog groomer is a very personal job and I will always ensure the best for your beloved pets and treat them like my own. 😍

Baby Millie had her first big girl groom. 😍

Happy New Year 🎉

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and new year.
I had a very busy and exciting break with my family and friends. We especially enjoyed the snow day.

Fry 😍

Puppy Fry was only due in for a pup bath and face tidy but his hair had exploded since last time I saw him so we went for his first big boy groom on his dad's request.
He was such a good boy and bomb proof on the table 🥰🐾

2025 Appointments

My diary is now officially open to block bookings for next year.
If you are on a 6 week (or less) schedule I highly recommend you book at least 3 appointments ahead likewise if you are on a 8 week schedule at least 2 appointments ahead. And of course you are welcome to book right up until June if you prefer.

Please pop me a WhatsApp or comment below on your preference to day and times and how many week intervals you would like.
(Example, Tuesday or Fridays around lunch time, 8 weeks)

How was your weekend?

My Saturday was spent learning and grooming with some wonderful local groomers and the poodle queen Carol Hutchins. After a demo in the morning we then had a chance to show our skills and get Carol's advice in a sc******ng workshop.
Ellie from Stanwells Pet Styling was very kind and brave to lend me Nico who is currently in a retro Dutch style trim.
As much as the trim isn't to everybody's taste (including Carol's) it was great fun and a real test of skill and patience to achieve this style.
As a groomer of 10+ years sitting in my comfort zone would be very easy to do but I do think it is important to strive to keep learning.

Help!

I have a grooming workshop tomorrow in Ross. (Saturday 9 till 4ish)
I need to borrow a well behaved dog that is either a poodle or poodle cross with a fluffy coat that hasn't been cut for around 6/8 weeks to groom and practice on.

My big girl started school yesterday 😍
Thank you to all my customers that asked about her over the last few weeks she took it all in her stride and smashed it!

Now she is at school I'm limited to when I can have a holiday so I will mostly be taking time off during the school holidays.
The week commencing Monday 28th October is half term so I will be off work spending time with my family.

Emmi Pet 2.0 is HERE!

I'm all up to date with the new and improved ultrasonic teeth cleaning system.
With no sound or vibrations most dogs allow the process with ease. Sessions last for around 30mins. If you think this is something your dog would benefit from please get in contact on 07951691203.

I have 2 large brush heads available for Medium to Large sized dogs and 2 small brush heads available for Small to Medium sized dogs.

Can you believe September is just around the corner?

As of the 1st September there will be a price increase of around 10% to most of your appointments. I appreciate everything is costing more but this increase is necessary to be able to offer you the quality products and equipment your dogs deserve.
