Eccleswall Court Racing and Pre Training

2 year old Massat Gelding leaves Eccleswall Court to go and join the Dave Evan’s team, while on the yard he was ridden away up our woodchip and deep sand gallops, got used to being upsides , jumped poles , hacked around acres of fields and got his bearings through the stalls. We wish him the best of luck for the future and have enjoyed having him in our care.

This week Tom and Ed Bailey headed to the Goffs Arkle Store Sales and are delighted to have picked up two new recruits that will be joining Eccleswall Court. Lot 97 is by the very popular Walk in the Park and Lot 42 is by Blue Brazil

Yesterday saw the first store sale of the year (Goffs Spring Store Sale) and we are delighted to have purchased 2 three year olds, both purchased by Tom and Ed Bailey for clients and now will begin their careers here at Eccleswall Court.

Two Eccleswall court graduates heading off to Lucinda Russell’s this morning. We have loved having them in our care for the past few months and look forward to seeing them on the track in the not so distant future.

What a day at Larkhill with our first point to point runner Colin Hobbs coming home a winner under a great ride from Ed Vaughan. A lot of hard work has gone on from all the hard working team at home in order to have a day like this. Congratulations to his owners and all connections , Grace who rides him every morning and Bella for making him look a picture🥇. Hopefully the first of many

3/6 of our pre trainers before heading back off to Scotland to re join the Lucinda Russell team this morning. We had them in our care for 5 months and were able to facilitate them to work everyday and learn the foundations on our 4 furlong woodchip gallop and our 1 Furlong deep sand gallop before giving them a short break to grow and develop. We wish them all the best in their careers and look forward to seeing them on the track soon

Positions include

✨FULL TIME WORK RIDERS- looking for capable and confident individuals happy to ride fit racehorses and youngsters.

✨ WEEKEND STAFF - looking for individuals to work on weekends. The job requires individuals to muck out , put horses on and off the Walker and out in paddocks and any jobs that may be required around the yard.

Fantastic result this evening at Worcester as Ironhill wins the 17.30 Richard Newland Handicap Chase under a patient ride from Liam Harrison. Well done to all the team here who have worked incredibly hard especially Becky who rides him everyday!
