As 2025 comes to a close, I’ve created this collage to reflect on some of my wonderful patients from the past year 💛

Thank you to all my lovely clients who have trusted me with the care of your beloved dogs. It has truly been a privilege to support them through clinical massage and to be part of their journey.

Some of these beautiful souls are no longer with us and have crossed the rainbow bridge 🌈 Forever remembered and deeply missed.

And to those I’ve had the honour of treating but haven’t included here, I promise you weren’t forgotten - I’ll try much harder to capture more special moments next year.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 🎄✨
Thank you for your continued support throughout the year — I’m so grateful and look forward to supporting you and your dogs again in 2026.

🌧️ What a stormy, soggy day it’s been!
But Frankl certainly knew how to make the most of it…

A little birdie told me he’s become quite the heated-blanket thief at home — so naturally, being wrapped up like a cosy little burrito for his clinical massage was the perfect way to spend the afternoon. 🥰

Frankl lives with spondylosis, soft tissue strains in his back, and a handful of other soft-tissue challenges throughout his body which had started to affect his ability to carry out everyday tasks.

Clinical massage helps keep him moving comfortably, easing tension, supporting mobility, and giving him that extra bit of comfort he deserves.

I’d say Frankl had the right idea today. 💛

✨ Meet Ava! ✨

This beautiful six-year-old Cocker Spaniel has been visiting the practice for clinical massage, and her progress has been nothing short of amazing. 💛

Ava’s owners noticed she just wasn’t herself recently. Arthritis in her spine and some soft tissue injuries had started to affect her everyday tasks as well as her overall behaviour and mood, making things that were once easy feel much harder.

Since starting clinical massage, Ava’s family has seen big improvements in her comfort, mobility, and day-to-day activities. Her puppy-like spark is returning, and she’s moving with so much more ease and confidence. ✨

She can now jump onto her owner’s lap all by herself and even scratch her own ear — two things she hadn’t managed in months.

We’re so proud of this little superstar and delighted to see her enjoying life again. Keep shining, Ava! 🌟🐾

Barney stole the show today… and also my blanket. 💛

Barney is a 14-year-old Labrador who lives with arthritis. He visits me regularly to help manage his mobility and overall comfort but today felt extra special. Today, he relaxed so deeply during his treatment that he drifted off into the soundest sleep. Since I had a gap afterwards, I wrapped him in a blanket and let him enjoy an uninterrupted 15-minute snooze. 💤✨

His mum reported that when he got home he was playful — actually bringing her toys to engage in play, something he hasn’t done in a long time. Moments like that are why I love what I do. That little spark returning… that’s everything 💕

🌟 Little Luna’s Journey 🌟

Meet Luna — a brave 4½-year-old cockerpoo with the sweetest soul 💛
Last year she underwent major spinal surgery, and thanks to her dedicated owners, vets, hydro and physio teams, her recovery has been truly inspiring.

She recently came to me for a routine muscular health check, and we found she was carrying quite a bit of muscular soreness — something that’s common in dogs who’ve been compensating after surgery.

Luna has now started a course of clinical massage to support her ongoing recovery, release muscular tension, and keep her moving comfortably. Although she was a little unsure on her first visit, this week she ran through the door, tail wagging and ready for her session!

It’s such a joy to see her confidence grow and her body respond so well to treatment. ✨

Mya brought Ricky Racoon with her for moral support today. She just loves to settle down for a massage, hugged up to whatever her chosen toy that day is.

Hope you’re feeling a bit more comfortable now Mya. See you again soon 😊

Did you know that Clinical Massage is a great therapy for easing stiffness, improving comfort levels and mobility in active dogs and those affected by arthritis?

Stan and Toffee have regular treatments to help make sure that issues are kept in check and not left to get out of hand.

Beautiful Bonnie 💗

This is what her lovely owner has to say about Clinical Massage:

"Bonnie is our 11 year old Springer Spaniel who started showing lameness in both front legs about five months ago. She is a typical Springer, jumping off ledges, flying down steps and diving into hedges.

Not long after, she couldn’t put weight on one of her back legs and was hopping around on three. An X-ray showed a damaged cruciate ligament and arthritis in every joint. Surgery was recommended but given her age we wanted to explore other options.

We started her on anti-inflammatory medication and injections, and were told strict rest only with short trips on the lead to do her business. That was tough, as her quality of life was so important to us.

I discovered the practice also offered canine massage which sounded like a wonderful complementary treatment. We met Rachel in June to begin a course of massage. She was fantastic with Bonnie, with soothing music in the background, and she explained the damage Bonnie had built up over the years. Rachel got to work and also suggested little changes around the house, like non-slip booties to stop her sliding on our wooden floors.

Five months on, with a combination of six-weekly injections and regular massage, Bonnie is weight bearing on all four legs again and the lameness is much reduced. She now enjoys two to three mile walks daily, which we are gradually increasing. Her vet is amazed at her progress and I cannot stress enough how much the massage has contributed.

The difference is incredible. Bonnie stretches after her naps, rolls on her back again which she had not done for months, and even stands up on her back legs to give me a morning hug. This combined treatment has truly given her her life back".

An old clip, but it's too good not to re share!

This is the beautiful Mya, an 11 year old Labrador. At 18 months of age she was diagnosed with elbow dysplasia, and as a consequence had very bad shoulder issues. Mya is the happiest little dog ever, and has a love of carrying things. This clip shows a small collection of soft toys that she chooses to bring to her treatments.

Here's what her dedicated owner has to say about how Clinical Massage has helped Mya:

"She has really benefited from having regular massage sessions. They relax her and she is a lot less stiff afterwards, which makes her exercise and walks more enjoyable. I'd certainly recommend massage as part of any treatment programme".

This is Frankl, a beautiful 8 year old Golden Retriever. After playing fetch with a ball, he began to struggle with getting into the car and with going up stairs. When things didn't improve his Vets advised that taking some X-rays would be a sensible option. The X-rays came back clear and so he was referred to me for Clinical Massage.

I found that he had multiple strains in the muscles either side of his spine, as well as in various other muscles. Strains are very common in dogs, and if left untreated can cause changes to comfort levels, posture, gait and performance.

Here's what his lovely owner has to say about Frankl's Clinical Massage journey....

"Clinical Massage has been great for him, it keeps him more comfortable and us more aware - we haven't had any issues with steps and getting into the car since! He has his maintenance session every month to keep him happy, and I think it's his favourite hour of the month - he always comes home and sleeps for the rest of the day in what seems to be absolute bliss. Rachel is so incredibly knowledgeable, and is always so clear and helpful as to what she has found to be troubling Frank in the sessions, which means that we can modify his exercise to any injuries or stress that she has noticed in his body. I think as well as helping him, it has really helped us to understand more of what's going on with him".
