Roo is swimmer of the month ⭐️

Roo started hydrotherapy with us in October for conservative management after suffering from an IVDD episode. Roo had completed 8 weeks of crate rest before she came to see us for an initial assessment. Roo never fully lost use of her hindlimbs, they were just very wobbly and she would occasionally drag them. After four session of hydro Roo’s owner were noticing improvement, they reported that she was more confident out on walks and would no longer move her hindlimbs together, they would place independently.

Roo has now dropped down to monthly hydro sessions which help to maintain her progress ⭐️

Happy 4th Birthday Harry! 🎉🎂

Harry absolutely adores his swimming, so was a little worried about looking at the camera incase he missed out on any time in the pool! He has recently finished his first course of hydrotherapy for management of his osteoarthritis in his left elbow. Since starting the hydrotherapy Harry’s owner no longer sees any signs of lameness and Harry has been able to loose roughly 2kg! 🎉

Happy National Whippet Day 🐾🐶

This sweet girl is Cilla and she has been having treatment with us for almost 3 years now! 🥰

After having a litter of pups Cilla’s owners noticed she had lost a lot of strength and condition and was displaying signs of discomfort in her back and hindlimbs. Cilla went for x-rays which showed transitional vertebrae in her lower spine, hydrotherapy and medication was chosen as the management option. After two courses of regular hydrotherapy, Cilla was able to come off all of her medication and has been managing well ever since with monthly maintenance hydro sessions. Cilla is now in great condition and loves going on lots of exciting walks with her family, as long as it’s not raining ☔️

Chewie 🤎

This lovely boy had a bit of a break over Christmas, but it was lovely to see him back at hydro! He first started over thee years ago to help manage his osteoarthritis in his left forelimb after a busy start to life as a sniffer dog with border force 🤎

This is Molly 🖤🤍

Molly started Hydrotherapy in November for post operative rehabilitation following cruciate surgery on her right stifle. Molly has made good progress in both the pool and treadmill and has recently been given the go ahead to start doing more at home. Next time we see Molly we will measure her hindlimb muscles to see how much she has gained since starting her treatment with us 💙

This smiley boy is Charlie 🐾

Charlie has been coming to Hydrotherapy for almost a year now after being referred for management of his hip dysplasia. Charlie’s owner has been working very hard and managed to help him loose roughly 7kg so far, leaving him only 1kg away from his target weight! This amazing weight loss combined with the Hydrotherapy has really helped to manage Charlie’s condition, reducing the risk of surgery and allowing his pain medication to be reduced.

Meet Bernard 🐶 Bernard has had surgery on both of his elbows due to degenerative joint disease. Bernard’s hydrotherapy sessions in the pool allow him to exercise and get full range of motion in his joints without any weight bearing. Follow Dizzy on her journey from cruciate surgery to hydrotherapy 🐾🩺 In June Dizzy ruptured her cruciate ligament and had to go for surgery. She had Zlig surgery, which involves replacing the torn ligament with an artificial implant. Everything went well and Dizzy was sent home to rest before starting Hydrotherapy 3 weeks later. Dizzy has now completed her first course of Hydrotherapy and has lost over 1kg of weight, gained muscle on her surgery leg and her forelimb lameness has reduced.
