Millie comes to Hydrotherapy for conservative management of her left elbow osteoarthritis. We find that treating Millie in the pool first loosens up her muscles so that she gets a better range in her forelimbs once in the treadmill 💪🏼

Meet Bernard 🐶
Bernard has had surgery on both of his elbows due to degenerative joint disease. Bernard’s hydrotherapy sessions in the pool allow him to exercise and get full range of motion in his joints without any weight bearing. The properties of the water also help to build up Bernard’s muscles and keep his joints free from stiffness and inflammation 🐾

In June Dizzy ruptured her cruciate ligament and had to go for surgery. She had Zlig surgery, which involves replacing the torn ligament with an artificial implant. Everything went well and Dizzy was sent home to rest before starting Hydrotherapy 3 weeks later. Dizzy has now completed her first course of Hydrotherapy and has lost over 1kg of weight, gained muscle on her surgery leg and her forelimb lameness has reduced.
