As we are being so graciously blessed with a heatwave this week, please be mindful when walking your fluffy ones. Not only do they always have a giant coat on, they don't wear socks and shoes like we do. Temperatures as little as 20°C are enough to start burning their paw pads, especially on dark coloured concretes.
Try and walk your pets early in the morning, or late in the evening if they insist on a walk, carry water with you for them, and try to limit their outdoors time through the day to minimise the risk of burning and heatstroke (yes even animals can get heatstroke)

My diary is filling up fast for the Summer holidays, if anyone wants booking in I would suggest messaging soon as I am running out of availability. I do cater for all animals, not just dogs and cats, so do not worry if you have more unconventional pets 💗

Just a small post to say that as of today I have full business insurance! This, of course, will provide peace of mind for a lot of you, current and future customers.

Previously, I was unable to buy insurance due to financial reasons, however I am now in a position where I have regular payments and can put in the money and effort to run a successful and safe business

Hi all, little update as we come up to the holiday season. My availability will be a bit more limited this month due to prior bookings and family events. As stated on a previous post, I will be unavailable between the 24th and 31st as I would like some time for myself and my family to celebrate the holidays, as I presume many of you will too. During this time my hours online will also be limited, so replies to messages may take a while. In the meantime, I do try my best to reply to messages as soon as I am able to, and am fairly flexible when it comes to bookings, taking daytime, overnight, and long appointments wherever possible

❌ PLEASE LEAVE THEM IN THE SHOPS ❌

Just a little warning regarding the Xmas treat many stores are now starting to stock for dogs at xmas.

Many of these so called treats end up with the dog "enjoying" some time in a veterinary surgery over Christmas.

The vast majority of these rawhide products and treats come from China.

The chews are made from cattle or horse hides and their journey starts with the hides being soaked in a toxic sodium sulphide to remove the hair and fat. More chemicals are used in order to split the hide into layers which is then washed with hydrogen peroxide to give the white "pure" look and remove the rancid smell.
Now comes the pretty festive colours and the glue to form cute shapes.
On testing, these chews have shown traces of arsenic, mercury, chromium and formaldehyde.

If that wasn't bad enough, they regularly cause intestinal blockages, poisoning from chemical residue and choking.
The chews go slippery when wet and are near impossible to get hold of to save a choking dog.

Leave them in the shop where they belong or if some well meaning person buys them for your dog put them safely away for later, then dispatch in the bin!

Please be safe with your dogs!!!

This page has plenty of tips and tricks on how to help your pets through bonfire night and the following nights with fireworks, if your pets struggle then I highly suggest giving this page a look 💗

Fire work season is here!💥🔥😬
Here are some top tips to try to keep your pets safe and calm during the next few days...
💥 Try to walk your dog earlier to avoid being out when the fireworks start. Call cats in early and keep them in overnight if possible
💥 Ensure all doors and windows are closed and curtains drawn to reduce the noise and flashing lights
💥Keep dogs on leads when out walking in case they are startled by loud bangs causing them to bolt
💥 Provide background music from the TV or radio
💥 Provide familiar toys and chews to keep your pet occupied
💥Do not try to comfort your pet if they have chosen to hide. This will only make them more anxious
💥 Make sure small pets like Rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters are safe, away from the noise and warm
Some pets require medication to help them through the firework period. For mild cases, nutraceuticals can work well. For more moderate and severe cases, anti-anxiety drugs may be prescribed. These sorts of drugs can only be prescribed by a veterinary surgeon.
Please contact us for advice if you believe your pet requires medication to help them through the next few days.

Unfortunately, as most pet owners know, there comes that time where we have to say goodbye to our fur babies. Sadly, today was that day for me, where I lost my beautiful Ratfiel after a full day of monitoring him due to waking up to him being wobbly and not moving right.

He lived an amazing life filled with treats from myself and his grandparents, and all the playtime in the world with the cats (who got on surprisingly well with him) but now he has joined his brother whom I lost earlier this year.

After nearly two years with me, I hope I gave him the life he deserved and he will be missed greatly, but I will always have my tattoo to commemorate him and his brother forever 🐀💗

Hi, I'm Zoe and I do in-house pet sitting to ensure your animals are well looked after whilst remaining in their own home where they are comfortable. I have been doing dogsitting for a few years now and I adore all animals, big and small. I have grown up with a variety of pets so I am very familiar with routines that they need whilst being cared for.
