Archie the double doodle was first in the Furry Pit Stop this morning for his usual wash, dry and cut.

Baxter the adorable sprocker had a full groom after his trial night, before coming to stay with us for his holibobs.

Benji the Labrador was very well behaved for his first visit for a wash, dry and de shed.

Rocco was last but by no means least for a wash and dry.

Happy Thursday, but I’m not sure where this week has gone. Here’s another quick update about all the precious pooches who’ve passed through my doors today.

First it was a wash and dry for adorable Archie before he vacated our boarding (have I mentioned we now offer boarding 🤣). Followed by Hugo and Charlie the cocker brothers. They were very giddy but well behaved on the table, and insisted on being there even when they weren’t supposed to be.

Poppy the timid Cockerpoo popped In for her usual wash and cut, she is very talented and can stand on two legs for longer than me!!

Finally Buckie the multipoo, he’s very adorable and such a happy chap.

It felt much warmer in the grooming salon today with positive temperatures; roll on summer.

Ollie the Cockerpoo was a pleasure to groom, Teddy the spaniel was adorable and sat very patiently for his first teeth clean at the Furry Pit Stop, and finally Clemi the Labradoodle was happy to shed her winter coat in preparation for hopefully warmer climates. Let’s just hope she’s right!

Today was Archie’s last full day boarding with us before he returns home tomorrow after spending 9 days here; he’s definitely going to be missed. I’ve especially enjoying watching him attempt (successfully), find the muddiest puddles to lay down in, his talents simply know no bounds.

It’s been a busy weekend of boarding here at the Furry Pit Stop with 2 gorgeous retrievers and our mate Boris the Cockerpoo who went home after nearly 4 weeks with us. To say he felt like part of the furniture was an understatement.

Today we’ve had Dougie the 7 month chihuahua who was cery nervous but it’s ok as it meant lots of puppy hugs for me.

Toby the Old English Sheepdog had his usual walk, wash and scalp. Vlad the Doberman came for a freshen up after his holibobs.

Happy New Year from the Furry Pit Stop!! I’m never sure when it’s too late to stop saying that. I hope you’re all having an amazing 2025 so far.

It feels like ages since I had the opportunity to write a post about your lovely pooches who’ve been to visit me, although it has been busy with boarding meaning I get to spend even more time with them.

First up today and in fact this year Gus and Kevin the pugs ventured out in the snow to see me, (much to Gus’ dislike) for their usual wash, dry and de shed.

Ellie the dachshund came in for nail trim and Teddy the Cockerpoo came in for a cut but didn’t enjoying his legs and feet being touched.

Why not book your furry friends for their own little adventure at The Furry Pit Stop. The books are now open for boarding at our very dog friendly home. Wishing all my fluffy friends and their fabulous owners a very merry Christmas. This time last year, the Furry Pit Stop still felt like a dream. In April, I took what felt like a leap of faith, leaving my beautiful colleagues at Cohens chemist behind to setup on my own as a dog groomer. As the doors close on Christmas Eve until 6th January and I reflect upon the last 8 months, I’ve groomed 280 dogs belonging to 210 customers and completed nearly 600 grooms; crazy numbers I never would have expected. I would like to give a heartfelt thank you to each and everyone one of you. It has been my absolute pleasure meeting you all and I’m very excited by the year ahead, especially as we expand further into doggy daycare and boarding. Thank you and merry Christmas again; Annabel.

Cali the spaniel had her usual wash, dry & cut, as usually she was very well behaved and didn’t mind me singing Christmas songs.

Teddy the truly tremendous spaniel had a wash dry and trim followed by Rocky who came in for his very first visit and was very chilled about it.

Last but not least Memphis the Doberman, a little unsure of getting in the bath but very happy once he was in.

Back today braving the elements with some beautiful breeds.

Bella the Sh*tzu fresh from her toe removing operation. She was unable to get it wet so we opted for a dry cut. Hope you are feeling better by the next time I see you Bella. X

Bertie the Cockerpoo graced us with his presence whilst he has refreshing wash and dry after his holibobs

Bella the lurcher has her first visit. She’s a good escape artist. Luckily she liked it with me so didn’t atempt it

Crazy Buddy the sprocker back for a wash, dry and tidy. Great to see him again.

Archie the double doodle was first in the Furry Pit Stop this morning. He was very well behaved and stood perfectly on the table.

Cassie the Lhasa Apso x Bichon Frise came for a shorter cut than usual in hopes she stays a little cleaner during her wet, winter, walks, and I’m sure she got one of those today!!

Daisy the spaniel was a pleasure to have back, she allowed me to sing to her (which now includes Christmas songs in my repertoire), although I don’t think she was too impressed!)

And last but by no means least Tilly the Spaniel popped in to see me. As usual she was very well behaved, I always look forwards to seeing her again.

Hope you all stay warm and dry tonight.

It’s a late start to the week at the Furry Pit Stop after some family time. First up, old boy Vinney the pointer had his usual wash, dry and nail trim.

Coco the cavapoo wasn’t convinced about spending so much time with me, in fact he got bored of the table and wouldn’t let me finish the groom (hence no after photo). Instead he had a great time playing around on the floor. Looking forward to seeing him again next week to finish the job I’ve started.

Rolo the spaniel came back for his usual wash, dry and tidy he enjoyed dancing around the table to the sweet sounds of my angelic singing; sorry neighbours.

Izzy the Spaniel cross had he first visit. She was very relaxed and it was lovely to meet her, definitely welcome back.

Roscoe the Shar Pei enjoyed his wash and dry but wasn’t so fussed about having his nails cutting bless him.

Frankie the clever little Cocker and Coco the cute chihuahua both popped in for a nail trim.

Bonnie’s a regular and she came in for her usual wash and cut but this time she brought her little sister Elphie along. She was very nervous but Bonnie looked after her.

Finally Pug brothers Gus and Kevin came in for their usual wash, dry and de sheds.

Evening all and happy Monday.

Didn’t get chance to show off these beautiful dogs on Saturday so you’re in for a double post tonight.

Cockerpoo brothers Ronnie and Max had their first visit to the FPS. Ronnie was very nervous but Max was their to look after. Winnie the French Bulldog had his routine wash and dry.

And then today, Cokerpoo sisters Marley and Willow came in for a teeth clean to make sure those pearly whites stay in tip-top condition. Reggie the puppy French Bulldog has his very first visit to a groomers. Buckie the multi-poo had lots of energy and was very excited to show me all the different ways he knew of using it during his groom. Teddy the very sweet Cockerpoo came for a little tap dance around my table and Rocco popped in for a nail trim.

A busy start to the last week of November.

It’s Friday again, wishing all my customers (and anyone else who’s reading) a happy weekend. Today Bruno the boxer was first up and indeed his first visit. He was a very friendly chap who enjoyed telling me about his week.

Then it was Pepper the Bichon Frise, she’s a regular visitor and of course was as well behaved as usual. I especially loved her singing to me when I was attempting to take her photo

Last up was Seb the Cockerpoo. First time having a big boy groom with me and he was very generous with his kisses.

Also tonight we have Boris with us for a trial night before his humans go on holiday. He’s another lovable Cockerpoo, his aim tonight is to bring me as many gifts as possible mainly tennis balls, toy bones and my own shoes.

Cookie the chow chow came back for her usual wash, dry and de shed. As always she was such a good girl and sat very patiently

Katnis the shy spaniel wasn’t convinced about having a groom so we put on the TV to help relax. She soon settled down and enjoyed her time, I think she just didn’t want to talk to me.

Memphis the Doberman had his first visit to FPS, he was very friendly if a little timid. Looking forward to seeing him again. He’s only the 2nd Doberman to visit and unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo of him!
