Rolo and Bisto the jackerpoos came back for their usual wash, dry and cuts. Both very well behaved and showed a lot of love for each other.

Our mate Archie the golden retriever is a regular at the FPS for boarding and grooming so of course we love him lots, took a lot of persuading to get in the bath!

Maggie the cavapoo liked to play the floor is lava whenever I tried to cut her front paws, if anyone’s wondering she’s very good at it.

Chip, Cookie, Miley and Daisy all had a very enjoyable first night of their holidays with us, they must have been ultra-tired as we didn’t hear a peep out of them overnight and they all loved their walks in the sunshine today.

We’ve had a fun day at the Furry Pit Stop, it’s definitely a case of all creatures great and small.

In for day care we had Jaxson the playful spaniel and Lulu who never stops, she could wear the carpet out (if we had any) in no time.

Luna the malamute x akita had a good de-shed, and afterwards I needed one too!!! She was recovering from a little operation so we didn’t get to enjoy bath time on this visit.

Beautiful old girl Kerrie the golden retriever was very patient, but she was pleased to see her human and even more pleased when he opened the door to leave; I’m not taking offence.

Prada the bully XL had a wash, dry and de shed, she’s a very affectionate lady who loved her bath time.

We’ve also been joined for boarding by some lovely furry friends who seem to be enjoying the first evening of their holiday with us. More about them tomorrow.

Tilly had a fun a fun day today with lots of well deserved hugs whilst her favourite human was at work.

Ollie the cockerpoo popped in for his usual wash, dry, cut and nail trim, he left looking sharp.

Then it was first visits for Suzie the lhasapoo and Connie the schnoodle. Both well behaved and enjoyed lots of hugs but Connie wasn’t impressed with her nails being trimmed.

Tomorrow is the start of a very busy few days boarding as we head into the Sheffield Easter holidays, which means either lots of stories to post or we are that shattered all we want to do is sleep.

Happy Monday, only 2 dogs booked in at the Furry Pit Stop today which gave me lots of time to clean up all the fur they left behind.

Logan the golden retriever needed a little convincing to get in the bath (bribery worked once again) but once in there he was a very well behaved chap.

Elise the Bernese mountain dog was excited to be back for her usual wash, dry, nail trim and de shed.

We had Bonnie the cockerpoo stay with us this weekend. She was a lovely little bundle of fun who definitely enjoyed being part of the family whilst one of her favourite humans was off winning a dance competition. She helped celebrate the achievement on her return home by…… sleeping.

Topsy & Barney came for a sleepover last night. Barney is a lovely fluffy bundle of fun and Topsy who is blind (and has been from birth) finds new ways to amaze us at how non-blind he seems. We also had Tilly, one of our precious day cares.

Penny the spaniel came for her teeth cleaned, she was very well behaved and we are definitely starting to see a difference around her gums.

Bonnie also had a time teeth clean, her first time having it done with me, but we were already friends as she visits me for a groom.

Narla the nervous spaniel was last in, another absolutely gorgeous girl and by the time we’d finished I think she just about trusted me.

Who’s getting weekend vibes already? I know I am.

It’s been a quiet day here at the salon, with just a nail trim for Bell the pug who was much more relaxed than her owner and I anticipated; a nice little bonus to start the day.

Luli the tiny poodle had her first visit to me. She was absolutely gorgeous and can’t lie I just wanted to sit on the floor and play with her.

Trevor the sh*tzu asked me to to sing this time so instead we watched YouTube to keep him entertained, this was especially useful whist trimming his nails.

In daycare we had Teddy the brown Cocker spaniel who isn’t to be confused with Teddy the brown coker spaniel we had visiting us on Tuesday, if they ever visit at the same time we are definitely in danger of getting them confused.

Good evening, and happy Wednesday, we are half way through the week already so here’s a little fluffy update what’s been going on in the salon today.

Poppy the staffy X popped in for a wash, dry and de shed. Loads of hair loss to go with the poor girls hearing loss. On a positive note it means she didn’t hear my rendition of “Spice Up Your Life”. She was very well behaved

Vlad the Doberman had his usual post kennels wash and dry but this time a de-shed. Enjoyed playing his favourite game of catching the air coming out of the drier; very helpful, thanks Vlad!

Pepper the Bichon Frise had a great time barking at me but very placid on the table.

Brian the terrier (how cool is a dog named Brian). First visit for an old boy. A little nervous at first but he was a good boy and we enjoyed our time together.

At the boarding side of the business we said goodbye to Boris; one of our regular guests. He enjoyed his complementary wash and dry before going home smelling gorgeous after 2 weeks hospitality with us. He brought us lots of smiles whilst his favourite humans enjoyed some well deserved vitamin D.

Last night we had the pleasure of Coco’s company, he was another lovely chap who came for a trial night to make sure he liked us before spending his holidays with us, I think he liked it here but he was still super pleased to see his favourite human this morning.

Dougie the chihuahua came for a wash, dry, and trim. He was a total darling and I thoroughly enjoyed watching his front legs do a little dance.

Skye the pug wanted a de-shed to get rid of that loose fur, he was also very well behaved.

Winnie the bulldog was a happy chap after his wash and dry, looking forward to seeing him again soon.

Oscar the miniature schnauzer had his first time visit for a groom (normally he only visits for dental care). He wasn’t a great fan of his legs being groomed but apart from that a very good boy and must admit I was rather pleased with
How he looked.

And just like that another week at the Furry Pit Stop is over and I’m going to enjoy an exciting day tomorrow of……. sleeping.

It’s another fluffy friend Friday here at the Furry Pit Stop. We’ve had Tilly the adorable miniature dachshund in for the day, she is an absolute bundle of cuteness.

Tilly and Oscar the sh*tzu siblings had a very cuddly trial night, they wanted to make sure they were happy with our hospitality before coming to stay for their summer holidays; I think they were happy with us.

Teddy the Cockerpoo had a return visit for his full groom at the salon, but really he just wanted to play the floor is lava while I attempted to give his legs some attention.

Winnie and Marshall siblings dachshunds were in next. Marshall had a full groom ready for the nice weather (I can only assume he’s off to the continent because it seems to be avoiding us at the moment), meanwhile mini-Winnie had a wash and dry. With her Mum’s help we even managed to trim her nails, let’s just say she wasn’t keen on that bit.

Mollie the Jack Russell had her usual full groom. A little nervous to begin with but we got through it as a team; go us.

Another busy day at the Furry Pit Stop, Jaxson the big boy spaniel spent his morning doing laps around our house whilst here for day care, we do love having him visit us.

At the grooming salon we’ve had:

Gus and Kevin the pug-brothers back for their usual wash, dry and de-shed. Both well behaved, handsome boys.

Mabel the double doodle had her first FPS visit. She was both beautiful and well behaved in equal proportions. Kept giving her paw, assume that was her pleading with me to stop singing (beginning to take offence).

Shelby the King Charles cavalier spaniel also had his first visit, he was very placid and so cute (think I need to persuade my family to let me have one). Definitely welcome to come back for a visit anytime.

Rocco the bulldog also had a wash, dry and de-shed. Usually he hates having his nails trimmed but I found a little trick to keep him distracted. Just goes to prove no matter how long you’ve been doing a job there are always more secrets to learn.

Also, if you got this far through reading my ramblings this evening; well done but that’s all for tonight, it’s time for me to get a kebab and go to a disco. Whom I kidding, it’s more likely a cup of tea and a biscuit in bed.

Little Max the golden retriever and Lulu the terrier came for a short stay with us, they both went home to their favourite humans today.

In the salon it was three full grooms for three little cuties. Elsie the sh*tzu, wasn’t a big fan of having her face trimmed but did enjoy lots of hugs and who was I to deprive her.

Izzy the lhasa apso x jack russell was a little timid but stood very well on the table, so we had a slow and gentle groom.

Finally Ziggy the toy poodle was a very happy chap and well behaved, he was even happy to let me style his shaved poodle feet.

Happy Monday, it’s been a busy one! Benji the Labrador with his ultra-deep bark had a de-shed. He was very polite, frequently giving me his paw.

May the beautiful spaniel was very well behaved and super patient waiting for me to finish with Benji. I’m going to claim it was due to my singing voice but don’t think I’m convincing anyone.

Last and by definitely no means least, Toby the old English sheepdog. We had a lovely walk from his home to my salon to try and tire him out before his 4 hour long full groom. As always he enjoyed sitting down, and whilst bathing him my family took turns to come in and watch him shake all over me which somewhat resembles a lorry driving through a 3 feet deep puddle splashing everyone stood at the bus stop; I will post a video of it one day.

Also today we said goodbye to Trooper the adorable spaniel. He spent his first night boarding with us and I’m not going to lie we didn’t really want to give him back, an absolute top notch boy and we are all looking forward to seeing him again soon.

It’s my day off from grooming tomorrow so I won’t spam your social feeds with grooming pictures and random ramblings.

Ronnie and Max cockerpoo brothers spent the morning with me, they were both very well behaved and looked out for each other (and no I don’t mean they hid together in the corner when I started singing).

A little Saturday shave for Cookie the cavapoo. It’s his usual full groom. It was refreshing for a dog to allow me near their legs at the moment and he was full of hugs.

Peggy the cairn terrier let me sing to her but I’m not sure my 90’s pop was her usual music, maybe next time we should try a bit of Elvis.

Rocky the chihuahua was very cute but needed a little persuasion to let me cut his nails, when I say a little persuasion I found out just how stubborn a chihuahua can be! But we got there in the end and we are still friends, that concludes another week at the Furry Pit Stop.

Good evening folks, you’ll be pleased to know my ears have had a thorough cleaning today, not by a nurse rather by Dougie the Cavapoo, who insisted on doing the job in exchange for a groom. Just for the record they were fine before!

Trixie and Albie the Sh*tzu siblings entered next. Albie was very relaxed on the table, meanwhile Trixie took the opportunity for a little nap.

Frank the funky fur ball Spaniel finished my Friday. Giddy was an understatement! Very cute and lots of fun, it certainly made an interesting grooming experience for us both. Frankly speaking Frank tired me out.

Happy weekend, hope you all make it a good one.

Our mate Max the beautiful big boy Golden Retriever spent the night at ours and let’s face it, who doesn’t love a golide.

In the grooming salon today I’ve had Daisy the cavapoo, we’ve met before for a wash and dry after holidays at The Dog House, today she visited me for her first full groom. She was very well behaved and hope she comes to see me again soon.

Bruno the boxer wasn’t a big fan of getting into the bath but once he was there he really enjoyed and seemed disappointed when it was time to get dried.

Finally Buddy the Springer x Lhasa Apso came back for his usual groom. He was giddy when his human brothers and sister came to pick him up. The sort of dog you can’t but say “ahhh” when you see him.

Oscar the Schnauzer started his day with a little teeth clean, Lola and Toby the Spaniel siblings had their first visit to the Furry Pit Stop. Lola was a little nervous but her brother looked after her and they definitely enjoyed the attention.

Leonard the dachshund popped in for a nail trim, he was very well behaved.

Milo the Sproodle was very excited about having his head and body groomed but decided to play the floor is lava when I tried to touch his front feet!

Finally good old Boris the Cockerpoo. He’s a very regular customer who always enjoys his visit, it was lovely to see him as always.

A fun filled friend Friday at the Furry Pit Stop filled with Teddies & King Charles Cavaliers.

Mable the King Charles Cavalier has her first visit. She was extremely well behaved and very relaxed. Hopefully she will be visiting our day care soon where we can spoil her with even more fuss.

Teddy (also a King Charles Cavalier) was very cuddly, back for his usual trim and lots of hugs.

Blade the whippet was very giddy about having his nails trimmed and finally Teddy the sh*tzu had a full groom whilst staring lovingly into my eyes.

Have a great weekend folks.

Bellie had a wash and dry this morning, followed by three grooms for three beautiful princesses. Crumpet the adorable little X-breed, Poppy the tiny Cockerpoo and Tilly the very gentle spaniel. In day care today we’ve had Lulu the Fox X Parson Terrier and a first visit for Jason the Spaniel who was very excited to spend the morning with us. It’s definitely been a fun dog day and to top it off we’ve even had a bit of sun shining down on my little salon.
