Apologies you missed out on my canine ramblings as it was rather a late night yesterday, the good news its a double post today. Archie the King Charles spaniel looked lovingly into my eyes whilst having a groom but needed his Mum while I cut his nails. Pepper the bichon Frise left minty French after her teeth clean, she was well behaved as always. Stanley the ultra-handsome spaniel nearly fell asleep on the table.

Today Cookie the Cavapoo was happy to be back and very well behaved.
Dougie the cavapoo had his first big boy hair cut, he got a little bored so watched my phone to keep him entertained, turns out he really likes Married at First Sight.

Roxi enjoyed another day boarding with us. She’s had two lovely walks and lots of fuss at The Oxbow.

Just the one dog today, but what a dog. Elsie the Bernese Mountain dog. She’s the ultimate BFG, in fact I’m pretty sure she could be rented out for bear hugs if someone was feeling down.

Since September, my grooming salon has a day off on Tuesdays so I don’t get to post. But it’s becoming business as usual for Boarding at the Furry Pit Stop. It gives me chance to thoroughly clean the salon, catch up on paperwork and a chance for planning. My only posts are updates to lovely owners about how their dogs have got on and what they’ve been up to. I love getting to write about Roxi, she’s definitely made herself at home with us and a good second choice whilst her human is away.

Happy Monday friends of the Furry Pit Stop, and what a lovely-puppy start to the week with three grooms for three cuties who are all under two years old.

Dora the Cavapoo was very well behaved, Archie the Golden Retriever was borderline lazy he was so chilled, finally Oscar the eighteen weeks old Bichon Frise was lots of fun for a giddy guy in for his first groom.

Over to Boarding at the Furry Pit Stop, we have tiny Roxi who’s also not a year old yet. She’s a Bulldog cross Rottweiler and such a friendly and loving soul. As a bonus she’s a great help when trying to ascend Washfield Lane. Here’s a picture of her out for afternoon walks yesterday as of course today’s have all been in the hours of darkness!!

A chilled out end to the week, yesterday we had the very friendly Bella the Sh*tzu, Chihuahuas Rocco and Mylo had a nail trim and Millie the Cokerpoo had a groom whilst following my every move with her eyes. Finally Bell the crazy spaniel came for a dance around my table; she was lots of fun.

Today my mate Borris came for a shave, I used to borrow him for college whilst I was training to be a dog groomer as he’s better behaved than my own dog!! Ted the Sh*tzu (who was a regular visitor until today) came for a groom. I was in a particularly sing-song mood this afternoon which Ted had to put up with, I’m hoping it won’t put him off coming back.

And just like that it’s Friday night again, hope you all have a relaxing weekend.

Sorry for the radio silence folks, it’s been a busy couple of weeks for us but back by popular demand here are a few of the before and after photos from today and just for fun I’ve included a couple of the gorgeous puppies visiting recently as well.

Today we’ve had Beau the Show-Cocker with the most gorgeous head hair and this time he actually let me groom him as well so everyone was a winner. Also we’ve had Pug brothers Gus and Kevin. Gus has a ticklish spot enough to keep us both entertained for hours and Kevin enjoyed his bath but really didn’t want to be left home alone (sorry).

And just so you get to look at a photo and say aaahhhhhh, here’s a photo of Baxter the rat-bag, sorry I meant to say Sprocker. He was lots of fun and with an unlimited amount of energy. He came for his first puppy groom, I’m very much looking forward to him coming to board with us soon… oops I just let a secret out of the bag. The Furry Pit Stop will very soon also be offering home boarding and day care. Heads up, there will likely be lots of posts about this soon so apologies for the shameless upcoming plugs for our exciting new adventure.

Whilst today wasn’t a nice day for a white wedding, lovely old gentleman Harvey the Sprolie was getting ready for his first wedding. He struggled a bit with his arthritis but we took our time and had plenty of cuddles along the way. He’s going to look sharp on those photos.

Teddy the Cockerpoo was very well behaved but didn’t like his front paws being touched and Clementine the labradoodle enjoyed his bit of r&r and stood perfectly.

Woody the handsome Spaniel returned this morning, he was very well behaved and enjoyed staring into my eyes whilst having his groom.

Maggie the Cavapoo came back for a trim. She preferred to sit down but stood with a little bit of bribery.

Finally I had the pleasure of a new acquaintance when 2 year old Teddy the gorgeous spaniel came for his first visit, he was a very calm boy and looking forward to seeing him again.

The happy and bouncy Jet the labradoodle came to visit me first this morning for a wash, dry and trim.
Next in was Ellie the dachshund for a nail trim. She definitely meant the side eye she was giving me! It’s a good job she is incredibly cute!
Elise the Bernese mountain dog was last in today. Luckily she was her usual relaxed self on the table, especially considering how long her coat takes to dry.

Happy Friday! Milo the Sproodle was a very happy chap this morning who enjoyed giving lots of kisses

Spud and Minnie the frenchie siblings. Spud was as protective of his sister as always making sure she was constantly safe.

Teddy the sh*tzu definitely enjoyed a bit of pampering, he was that relaxed I could have dyed his hair pink and he wouldn’t have noticed. Although apparently dogs can’t see in colour so that might not be fair.

Old man Vinney the pointer was very gentle, enjoys having a little lay down on my table. They make it look so comfortable I might have to try it myself one day.

Roscoe the Shar pei had his first time visit. He was very well behaved even though a little bribing was done with treats.

Finally the one of the most handsome spaniels returned to me. Stanley’s body is handstriped to remove some of those hairs on my salon rather than back on the carpet at home. He’s done with this and stays awake, however something about being washed and dried knocks him out and he spends the rest of his visit asleep on the table.

Ollie the gentle Cockerpoo visited me this morning. I thought for a groom, he thought for kisses.

Pepper the Bichon Frise came to make sure all of her pearly whites looked as clean possible. Initially more interested in eating the toothpaste but eventually let me use the brush as well.

Benji the Jug is totally ecstatic to see me, he had a wash and dry and for the first time this week a dog who didn’t get wet when he left my salon.

Rolo the Spaniel danced around the table in an effort to absolutely make sure as much as possible I could not trim his feet or legs and I think he won. Needless to say I was tired after the upper body workout he managed to give me.

It was more like Part-time Pit Stop today with an afternoon off work.

Bella the adorable old Sh*tzu was great apart from hating water, after saying that I think most of us have had enough of water by this evening.

Archie the Golden Retriever definitely dislikes the rain, and also standing, in about equal proportions. Laying down would almost always be his recommendation. Such a beautiful boy.

Archie the very polite King Charles Spaniel enjoyed his groom and the chance to give lots of kisses.

As always Benji the Dachshund was absolutely adorable, I always look forward to our little chats, apparently he thinks the summer ended too early as well.

Boris the Cockerpoo did his usual little happy dance on the table rather than wanting a groom.

Rocco came in for his nails cut and despite his arthritis he was very patient.

On a very wet Monday I had the pleasure of Rocky the handsome Chihuahua visiting me. Then it was walkie time for Toby the Old English Sheepdog before his “little” groom (not sure Toby has ever been in mentioned in the same sentence as little before) and Luna the lovely whippet was vey polite insisting on giving me her paw.

It’s Friday guys! Cookie the fluffy and bouncy cavapoo popped in to see me this morning. Next up the adorable Teddy the cocker spaniel gave lots of hugs and kisses. Rolo the puppy border terrier and Scooby the springer spaniel were both a little timid when they came into the Furry Pit Stop but by the time they left we were best friends. Looking forward to seeing them both next time. Have a great weekend everyone.

Congratulations to Steve, the first ever Golden retriever to cross the threshold of the Furry Pit Stop. It’s been a busy weekend of spring cleans for Minnie, Dexter, Rosie and Poppy. Holly the Labradoodle felt much cooler for leaving her winter coat behind and we finished up the day with a different Dexter, he’s the Pomeranian and definitely one of the fluffiest and fun fur-babies I’ve ever met. See you next time girls and boys.

It was a busy day yesterday at the Furry Pit Stop with Jet the giddy ladradoodle visiting first for a full groom, petite Pepper had a wash, dry, nail trim and eye trim and last but by absolutely no means least Amos the handsome Cockerpoo visited for a full groom 💙🩷💙🐾
