We had a fantastic time whilst staying at Hut & Hound for a few days. We stayed in the Shephardess hut, and were amazed how well the space is utilised and what facilities were available to us. If you have dogs, then this is the place to visit as everything here is with them in mind, which is so important to us! Both our dogs loved having a paddock to run free in, with the added benefit of us not needing to look over our shoulders every 2 minutes for other dogs approaching! Welcome packs were great, and the hosts were non-intrusive. I could go on, but rather than me tell you all about it, I'd highly recommend you visit yourself!

Winter dates at Bed and Basket

The children are just back to school so it’s time to plan Autumn and Winter stays.

Award winning, truly dog friendly accommodation in the Cornish Countryside (but just 2 miles to St Austell and walkable to the nearest village with a food serving pub and Londis store).

No dog restrictions, (we love guarding breeds), dogs can go anywhere in the property (including in the bed if you bring your own bedding) and we have two enclosed exercise paddocks.

Here at BBB HQ 'home from home boarding', your dog stays with us on their own little holiday, and enjoys all the home comforts they're used to. We have lots of different types of beds, and anti slip rugs, so dogs can sleep where they want, on sofas if preferred, on the cool floors, on laps, even on the bed, and sometimes they just like to snuggle up with their newly found friends ❤️ 🐾 🐝

How lovely, thank you, am so, so pleased he's now been signed off! 🙏Massive thank you to all at The Vet Portsmouth, for your phenomenal care, persistence, patience, professionalism, help and guidance through all those really difficult weeks, when it seemed almost certain he would have to have his tail amputated. Bear's had a long road to recovery since he had 5 x lumps removed during his surgery on 4th July, but he's doing so well now, and back to his normal whiny self 🙈 and he sends his heartfelt gratitude. Am sure he's missing his visits every 2 days, along with all the attention, and sausages, he got 😂🤣

So proud of our cute little boarder, deaf French Bulldog Crystal ❤️ She doesn't usually go off lead, and when on lead walks would often lunge at other dogs. During her stay we've worked constantly to build her confidence up around other dogs, started her off lead walks using long lines, and she's now running around fully off lead on her walks, which she very clearly loves. She was chasing swallows across the fields yesterday, and she also initiates play with the other dogs, and snuggles up with them, regardless of size, it's been so lovely to see 🐾🐝 She made a new BFF with Hendricks the Vizsla, and am sure she'll miss him as he has gone home now 😢

Cuties, mother and son French Bulldogs, Samson and Delilah, stayed with us for their trial overnight stay, and they enjoyed lots of walks and cuddles ❤️🐾🐝 As Delilah is deaf, she does tend to follow Samson everywhere 😍

We’re pleased to welcome the new Pet Abduction Act, coming into force from today, 24 August, which introduces tougher penalties for stealing dogs- up to five years in prison, a fine, or both.

This law is a crucial step in recognising the emotional value of dogs and the devastation caused to victims of pet theft.
