My first session at yoga went down well - shame there was none of these guys there last night!

A big thank you to everyone who came along to today’s fun Flyball event in aid of Cogwheel Counselling. The odd bit of rain did not dampen the dogs enthusiasm to have some fun! Thank you everyone for your donations - it is greatly appreciated 🐶

Day 4 of our training this week with The College of Scent Dogs - this track was a long one and had been left to soak for over an hour. It was challenging for both of us but Shelby has been amazing on this course - thoroughly enjoying it!

This was our 4th track on Day 2 with The College of Scent Dogs - a longer track and lots more engagement from Shelby - I love this dog!!!!!

This was Shelby's 3rd track on day 2 of the course with The College of Scent Dogs! Fresh grass, track left to soak for 5 minutes and a cracking training experience with her!

We must always remember about the four D's when having fun with our dogs! This was day 2 of our Tracking Instructors course with The College of Scent Dogs and the first time that Shelby had experienced such a large area that was occupied by some low level birds!!!

Well done to the puppies who passed their KC Puppy Foundation exam this morning! It was a short training session for everyone before the hot weather descended on the field. A big thank you to everyone who came today - we will catch up with you all in 2 weeks time 🐶

A weekend of pampering with your dogs?

Shelby and myself have spent the week in the company of Rob and Karen from The UKCSD starting on her journey into sniffing. She was completely new to the idea of looking for gun oil, let alone indicating on it but with the experience and guidance from UKCSD, she absolutely smashed it on Friday with an outdoor search of 4 hides in such a large environment! It was a super proud ‘daddy’ moment 😊

Sometimes the puppy just wants to be a puppy! Shelby having fun in her scentwork class last night - big thank you to everyone for allowing her to be a goofball!

Shelby had a busy Christmas break and is all set to join her new class starting on Saturday 14th January ……..

All About Me ........

So who am I? Well I am someone who is passionate about any forms of dog training and you will always find me on the field first thing in the morning and always the last one to leave at the end of the day.

How did I get into it? It all started 9 years ago when I became the owner of a 6 week old Labrador called Henry and had my first experience of indoor hall training with him (plenty of kitchen roll was required).

What have I done? Since the initial introduction of puppy classes with my Henry, I have progressed to owning and running South Cambs Dog Training Club which I pride myself on providing help and support to everyone who I’m fortunate to meet during their dogs development. I like to keep on top of all new development information when it comes to helping dogs plus owners and always seeking out ways to keep informed/educated on anything canine related.

What do I offer? The club offers all aspects of training (from puppy foundation all the way up to Gold level in Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme) but also we provide fun for everyone involved. There are a host of other dog related stuff that is put into the classes which I run (Flyball, Agility, Scentwork, Hoopers, Trick Training …..).
