In my infinite optimism I'd hoped that I would be a little like Doctor Who and the tardis and just walk in to a little blue box and go just like that. It doesn't seem quite so.

As with all these things it's best to come from me rather than the jungle drums, after 22 years here at North Brook End I have chosen to hand over the keys.

It's a place I will forever be incredibly proud of and was lucky enough to do things I never thought possible with a best friend, my husband and a person who, I quote thought I was "the best thing since sliced bread" I'm a lucky girl.

I've met some amazing people and animals in my time here and had some simply great experiences. Can I take this opportunity to thank everyone and I mean everyone who has had a positive impact on us here, clients, friends, staff, supporters and suppliers. Thank you.

As of mid December Deniese and Eion Gallagher of New Blue Stables will be based at North Brook End. So if you see on social media in days to come it is indeed true!

I hope you will all join me in wishing them the very best of luck for a successful future.

Rugs all types and sizes from 5ft9 to 7ft some are clean, some need a wash. All usable but have numerous repairs. Between £10 - £25 per rug about 100 to look through. Best to call in and look through them if you'd like any. Let me know your popping by please. Cheers S

Burghley Thursday Pony Club Jumping. These guys formed the 2022 team for the EHPC branch and were lucky enough to recieve the Harrison Bucket memorial trophy kindly donated by the Auld family.

Well we all had a successful, lovely and amusing morning at British Breeders Young Horse Evaluation with Doris Brekes home bred Hanovarian mare, Don't Stop Me Now, Petal to her mates. Coming away with a haul of ribbons, an award for the main Hanovarian Stud Book, a Silver Evaluation and a 5 Excellent for condition and presentation.

A big thank you to Doris for her support as an owner and also to my guys here at NBE, to Jon for a sterling job in his production of the horse, to Jolie & Beth for the condition and prep of the mare for this class. It takes a village...... well done all, especially Petal.

For family and pals.......I knew nothing of this 😊Granny and Grandpa Auld just called by with The Harrison Bucket for the show jumping team at Burghley for the East Herts Branch next Thursday 😊❤ This cup basically says he was good with a horse, always had some sceme or other and that he left his character behind him. Made us smile.

If you know NBE you will know Sky. At 20 years old she has effortlessly delivered more foals than I care to remember (and when I say that she sits up grazing whilst in labour and will only ever foal in the field).

Sky and I decided today that this years foal would be her last. Fit and well and looking fantastic "lady we will quit while we are ahead".

Mother to lead all mothers, a role model female to admire in any female in all that she does. Everyone likes her, never an ear back or pulls a face at anyone but always parts the herd so she effortlessly gets her hay and feed and will always share with who ever is bottom of the heap, equally she will walk out wearing a door and it's frame if absolutely necessary.

Sky you owe us not a penny you are an absolute gem. To retirement and to our pastures new 🥂
