This week, we treated our first heatstroke patient of the year, an early indication of increasing temperatures and their related risks. Rapid intervention by the patient's owners and our medical team, endearingly referred to as 'Agent 007 - Licence to Chill,' helped avert a possible tragedy.

This incident underscores the risks of warm weather. As such, vigilance during hot days is critical. Be attentive to your pets' behavior for signs of distress that may indicate heat-related conditions. Don't take unnecessary risks by exposing your pets to extreme heat.

We currently have a Vacancy for a RVN/Nurse at our new centre, as listed below.

Royston Veterinary Centre is primarily a small animal practice, it is privately owned first opinion practice which has served Royston and its surrounding communities for over 60 years. We are a close and hardworking team, we take pride in coaching the next generation of Nurses and are an approved training practice.
We have recently relocated just 5 minutes from Royston in to a purpose built site. We are looking for someone to join our current Nursing team of 4 Registered Veterinary Nurses and two Veterinary Care Assistants, we would consider all levels of nursing experience, including second year students. We offer a generous CPD allowance, and the salary is dependant on experience, if you feel you would like to join our team then please email your CV to [email protected]

Good afternoon everyone, David and the team would like to wish you all a happy Easter, it may not be the sunshine we were hoping for but at least its dry at the moment. Enjoy your Easter eggs and hot cross buns, but do remember to keep them out of the way of your pets as although they are a very nice treat for us, it is not for them, so take care everyone and have a nice break.
