HelenK Dog Walking is a family business run by Helen and Charlotte based out of Cawston, Rugby. She is a clinical canine massage therapist and also runs HelenK Canine Massage. Charlotte is a qualified Kennel Club agility judge. She’s competed at Crufts with her cocker spaniel, Whispa, and her collie, Deefa. Whispa & Charlotte also represented Great Britain and competed in Luxembourg with the YKC Agility Team.

It's that season again already. If you are looking to enjoy a display, please support your local organised event. This is far safer for your family and your neighbours. Keepers of animals can be prepared and help their animal companions better if they know when fireworks are going to be happening. Families with people with sensory sensitivities, anxiety, PTSD can be prepared rather than when there are random fireworks being let off across multiple days/weeks from all directions which can be extremely terrifying.

It's wonderful that there are now quieter fireworks available, let's hope for a move towards their use or silent ones if that is ever going to be possible. 🙏

Just a friendly reminder to everyone about animals in this heat. Like most of us, our pets are not really used to this warm weather so it can catch us, and them unaware.

Heat stroke can be fatal if not managed appropriately. We have done a blog explaining this nasty condition, what causes it, which dogs are prone and what to do about it.
