🎇FIREWORK SEASON 🎇

Don’t forget your pets this firework season! If your pets get scared of the fireworks please contact the practice as soon as possible for advice or treatment to help support your pet through firework season!

Here are a few tips to keeping your pets safe this firework season:

💥Prepare an enclosed den for your pets with 3 sides covered and allow them to come and go as they please
💥Put the TV on or play some music to try and mask the sound of the fireworks
💥Try and stay in a ‘normal routine’ yourself and stay calm as the fireworks are going off. If you react to the fireworks, they will also react!
💥Avoid walking dogs at night when the fireworks are being set off
💥Keep cats indoors and provide a suitable amount of litter trays around the house and hidey-holes!
💥Make sure your pets surrounding are secure so they cannot escape if there is a sudden noise. Make sure doors and windows are closed and gates and fences are all secure. Ensure your pets microchip details are all up to date and that they have a collar on with an identification tag on if they happen to go missing!
💥Bring outdoor small furries inside if possible!
