Wilson and Keo finding out about the local area, who has passed by recently, who lives there? One of my strongest values is taking time to always stop with your pets allowing them to sniff! Your dogs sense of smell is pretty much a super power and their daily sniff routine can help them identify what’s happening in their environment as well as lowering stress levels. My aim is not only to provide physical exercise but mental stimulation too! 🐶

Walking and training with Leo. Over the last few weeks I’ve been working on Leo’s close lead walking. I been using my ‘with me’ command. Leo’s owner Allan is disabled and uses a wheelchair. Our aim is for Leo to stay close to Allan whilst in his wheelchair and for Leo to sit when he stops. Allan can then use a release command ‘ok’ for Leo when he is ready to move on again. 🐶

Time to say hello to Helen at our local Dogs Trust. Helen is fantastic with dogs. They all seem to warm to her. Helen’s calm natural ability and understanding of ‘Caine Behaviour’ is second to none.

Rock’s first urban run, very exciting! Warmed up and had an amazing first run together around our local streets. Finished off with a lovely cool down session. Rocky loved every minute and to be honest so did I! 🐶

Wired for smell! With all those scent signals traveling from the nose it’s no wonder why all dogs want to stop and sniff. Leo is clearly getting all the neighbourhood gossip in one big whiff! We just don’t walk your dogs we give them the time to explore and positively channel the sniffing urges. All our walks are guaranteed to be mentally stimulating and enjoyable for your pets.

Sir Fred is nearly 14 years young now. I’m so proud of him with his attitude towards life. Sadly he struggles to walk now. He can hardly see or hear, but he still loves nothing more than getting out in the open air and living his life to the full, mainly through his nose! Just as we use vision as our main sense for understanding our environment, dogs use their noses. The way something smells gives dogs more information than the way something looks, feels, sounds, or tastes! Sir Fred exploring life as he nose best! Ruislip Dog Walkers we don’t just walk your dogs we love them. 🐶
