The lovely bouncer who was clipped by myself on Monday looking amazing 🤩 he went out and won the novice today scoring his personal best 🤩

Little one did so well today ❤️ out to tyddyn for the Trailblazers Championships qualifier. New venue for her and it was freeeezing cold!! She did me proud today not only getting her 1st qualifying scores but also by being so mature and grown up. We still have baby moments! She’s 5 and to be fair hasn’t had the most straightforward career start with injuries from her and me so is so very very green! And on the chestnut mare fact and it’s a win win 😅😅

But she was so mature and handled the warm up well and the spooky outdoor and did her first ever prelim (yes that’s how green she is)

Lots of training now ready for the next qualifier! 🤩

Been a busy week!
I don’t usually advertise that I clip but I’ve had a few messages the last few weeks asking about clipping and yes I do clip for clients, I’m not a professional clipper it’s not my main speciality but I’m more than happy to clip for you I don’t do a bad job I’m just a smidge slower at it as I take my time to get it right ☺️

Clipping in Llandyrnog and at home and riding in Denbigh and Wrexham this week!

Another good evening in Maelor last night!

Constance and cinders working on landing correct canter leads and maintaining the flow!
Chris and Pippa had a confidence session as Pippa hasn’t seen many fillers so we took a step back and allowed her to build herself up again!
Chloe and Mo coming on strongly together, both still a new combination and Chloe’s nerves like to take over but we finished strongly jumping fillers (for the first time) and at a good height!

Yard work in Denbigh and riding the lovely bouncer 🤗 a beautiful eventing horse that I’m helping keep ticking over while his owners are working!

Then onto a meet with an old client with a new horse. I’ll be assisting in breaking in her young mare. She’s not quite ready at the moment but
was lovely to catch up and meet the newbie 🫣

No 2 - meggy - 4 year old cob mare learning how to be a ridden pony, we did some basics in the grass school now it’s too wet she’s learning to hack out. Today our first solo outing.
Her owner has been fantastic working on her between sessions sticking brilliantly to any homework given and it’s definitely paying off 🤩

I’m in the Wrexham area once a week - this may move to twice a week next summer.

Back in the ring and it feels amazing to be back doing what I love 🥰 took my young mare out for some re socialisation! Only having been worked 5 times since March she came out and tried her heart out which is all I ever ask! Little tense in her first test but settled and tried so hard for me ❤️ a lovely 2nd and 4th with 8 in each class!

New client Chloe doing me super proud tonight! Her and new pony Mo have been coming for lessons in mine for a month or so!

A couple of weeks ago Chloe would panick over a raised pole! Tonight… we flew 65cm!! A gem of a pony and a rider who will push through all her fears and do it! 💪🏻 we still have a long way to go! But when I first started teaching this duo we were just sorting out rising trot! So to be here in 2 months time is a massive step 🤩

Quiet day off today taking the chance to get my own ridden they were off last week with the heat enjoying more enjoyable temperatures today 😅

Due to the unusual high temperatures that we’re having at the moment any lessons that want to rebook for different day/time to avoid the heat please do! Happy for under a days notice as we never know what we’re going to have. I’m opening slots early morning and late evening to avoid the heat!

Any lessons or rides that are done in the heat will be of less intensity and happy to sponge down the horse for you if needed!

Your ponies and horses wont mind missing a few rides!

First ride for newbie Que! We had one little session before I broke my ankle so today was “first day” again! Hes a big lad standing around 18.1 although hes 10 he’s very green due to a few little health issues along the way so he’s back to basics! Proving to be willing but trying at the same time! 😂🙈

A true gentleman with a heart of gold! This loving boy is looking for his next adventure. Only available due to owner downsizing not through any fault of his own. He is suitable for strong confident novices as he knows his job!
He’s had a varied life, having hunted, show jumped and done some dressage. He’s still got plenty of miles left on the clock with a level head!
Really easy to do with 3 lovely paces! He always aims to please! Not a bad bone in him!
No stable vices or quirks!
He hacks alone and in company.
Has a very trainable attitude and will be anyone’s best friend!

After 2 successful rides today, and loving every minute of being back in the saddle I’m opening my diary back up again! Obviously I will be working more on the quieter ones but happy for the quirkier ones as long as aware before coming! ☺️☺️

Will only be flat work and hacking for now!

I’ve got 2 days a week to go to Wrexham if anyone wants to join on those days!

Other days I’m Denbigh, mold and corwen/carrog!

It’s been a long few months but today I was back onboard client horses 🤩

Oh I’ve missed it!
The lovely Diego being the first ride! He hadnt been schooled in over 12 months but still been hacking! He was mega and we had a great but sweaty 🥵 ride

This boy will soon be looking for his new home 🏡

Quick mane tidy for Pippa she was over today to have her massage off Realign Equine we do a yard visit as it’s easier to have everyone in one place so while Pippa was waiting her turn I used my Smart Grooming knife to give her a much needed tidy 🙈

Pippas first time here and she was a little champ! Was so good to see her confidence grow!

Fab jump session with Chris today. We spent the lesson on getting Pippa to sit and steady instead of running at fences 😅 she’s a quick learner and soon had her bouncy canter coming into fences and some tighter turns! So we finished with some bigger fences! She’s doing well for a young mare lots of potential for this duo!

It’s been a long 3 months since doing a good break on my ankle but I’m finally up and able to drive again! 🤩

Not riding yet but I’m back available for freelance lessons at your yard or mine!

Flat or jump lessons available! Limited spaces!
