We treat your pets with love while making them look and smell great. I'm Clive the Owner and Head Groomer and I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a bit more about the salon. I have recently taken over Top's N Tail's salon and I'm very excited to have expanded to the beautiful town of Saffron Walden. As with my other salons, my aim is to create a place where our visitors could not onl

y be made to look and smell beautiful, but also somewhere they would enjoy being. By me putting my love of animals and the skills I've obtained over the last 20 years together, it has allowed me to create a relaxed and enjoyable grooming experience for all our visitors. My main concern is your pet's welfare. Every care is taken when dealing with your dogs; what works for one dog will not necessarily work for another. This is why our approach is individual for every animal that comes through our door. We are able to groom to breed standard and client request, so why not give us a call or message to find out how we can help your four legged friends

Summer is here! ☀️ 🍦 ☀️

With the warmer weather creeping in, we have to change the way we groom.

1) Please do not walk your dog before their salon visit. If they arrive overheated from a walk, we may turn them away.

2) If we feel anyone is becoming stressed in the heat, we will stop the drying process and send them home with a towel dry.

3) brachisephalic breeds, i.e., freinchies, bulldogs, pugs, etc, are welcome. However, due to the warmer weather, we may feel it is best that they are towel dried. Ear cleaning and nail trimming are, of course, included.

4) Your appointment may take longer than usual as we encourage rest/water breaks.

We hope you understand that this has been put into place as everyone's welfare and comfort, especially in warmer weather, is very important to us!

We have plenty of fresh water along with aircon to help keep everyone cool.

We hope everyone is enjoying the warm weather and please don't forget to keep yourselves and your doggos safe :)

The grass seed season has come early!

Grass seeds can very easily brush off stems of grass onto your pets body. Their pointed ends mean that they can become embedded and travel through the body. If you suspect your pet may have a grass seed. Contact your vet immediately!

The most common places for grass seeds to become embedded are the pads, ears, nose, and groin.

Signs your pet may have a grass seed are;
-Head shaking/ear scratching
-paw licking/swollen toes
-sneezing/nasal discharge

We are on the lookout during their grooming session! However, regular checking after walks can help keep them at bay.
