At Mercer and Hughes we have an ongoing commitment to development and believe that every patient deserves the best care and to be treated like our own pet.

With this in mind, we are pleased to inform that we now offer the service of advanced soft tissue surgery and advanced orthopaedics. This service is provided by one of our clinical directors Luis who has completed not one but four additional qualifications in surgery, and worked in specialist referral hospitals, allowing us to offer the best treatment possible to our patients.

This is a truly unique first opinion service in the area that also enables us to collaborate with nearby practices and help as many pets as possible.

🌟 Keyhole Spay 🌟

Poppy came to see us earlier in the week for a keyhole spay with our vet Luis. This is her on discharge feeling happy when told she won’t need to be rested 🤩

A Keyhole (Laparoscopic) Spay is a minimally invasive alternative to a standard spay, allowing your pet to recover faster and sparing them the need for a long rest period.

RVN Flora's cat Fennel is demonstrating just a couple of the uses we have for towel s- keeping our patients warm, cosy and comforted. They can also provide hides and safe spaces for more timid patients 🐾

*Important update for our Saffron Walden Clients*
This morning, a car accidentally drove into the side of our building. We’re happy to report no one was hurt. The safety of our clients, patients, and colleagues is of the utmost importance to us, and we are working closely with the relevant people to rectify this issue as quickly as possible. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding.
Due to the location of the accident, we are able to continue with all appointments as scheduled. We are awaiting collection of the vehicle later today to keep disruption in the car park to a minimum.
We will keep you updated if there are any further changes, but for now, rest assured your appointments will go ahead as planned. Thank you for your continued support.
