Hi lovelies, hope you are all staying safe and happy. We’re not currently making pasties (whilst we’re selling the business) but we do have a small quantity of frozen stock available. We’re happy to arrange deliveries in/around Truro and Redruth while stocks last, we just need it to be an order of 6 pasties or more to make it viable for us. Our Chief Pasty Pixie is in the big smoke (don’t worry she brought her passport for crossing the Tamar) and has finally made it to Unity Diner! Some of the things that make Unity Diner great:
✅ All of the profits go towards animal rights campaigning work, inc. towards the development of a new farm animal sanctuary.
✅ Any suitable food waste they have is donated to animals who have been rescued from slaughter.
✅ They are dog friendly and have free vegan dog treats available for animal visitors.
✅ The food is delicious!! (Honestly if I wasn’t in a vegan place I would have been worried that I’d been brought the wrong dish!).
✅ The staff are super-friendly.
✅ The atmosphere is warm, welcoming and full of other people trying to make the world a better place.
✅ They sell these cool t.shirts (see pics) - ethically made (no sweatshops!) with 100% organic cotton and chemical-free vegan ink.

We met Earthling Ed and the Surge team when we supplied >100 free pasties for their screening of at Falmouth University, and feel very proud of our fellow vegan entrepreneurs, well done guys! 💕🌱

A chap popped in today and had ordered his pasty before seeing that it was vegan...he asked us why vegan? We explained. Asked if we thought humans were designed to eat meat? We replied.
He still bought and paid for his pasty and tried it whilst in front of us...we asked for his honest opinion - he said “Honestly, I want to tell you that it’s awful, but I can’t - it’s delicious!” Put a big smile on our faces all day 😁💕

We had missed this review, as it was left on Happy Cow for The Eco Collective...what a nice thing to find on a grey Monday morning:
’Great vegan pasties and cakes, next to amazing beach. Wonderful local business with wide range of vegan cakes (many raw) and generously sized vegan pasties. The wholewheat pasties were especially good - a Cornish one, a bean chilli one and a vegan cheese option. We tried all, sharing because of their prodigious size, and liked all. I don’t normally like vegan cheese, but it worked extremely well in this format. The associated store has lots of useful top up items like Vegó bars and spread, plus clothing and eco cleaning products. The seating area was nicely cosy, and staff extremely friendly. A great find I’ll definitely return to whenever in the area - not least for the amazing beach with tidal swimming pool just a few minutes walk away.’ 💕🌱

Some of you will know that we’ve trialled various versions of sausage rolls over the years, always in small test-batches, and we’ve never been happy enough with them to make them a staple product. When we were asked to make 50 for a wedding we knew we had to return to the test kitchen...and we’re thrilled with the result!
