I can also compete your horse for you if you are off games for a bit or would like me to take them to their first clinic/competition. I compete at Advanced Dressage having trained my own homebred horses and currently training another youngster to follow on their footsteps.

At the weekend I had the absolute pleasure of taking Katie Ashworth’s lovely Velvet to Bicton Arena Petplan. She competed in the prelim and novice silver and came mid field in both classes of around 30 competitors.
This was only her 4th BD show as we only decided to start her down a dressage career earlier this year.
I’ve had the pleasure of this mare being at livery with me for a while now and she’s now off to pastures new. Luckily only a stone’s throw from me so I’ll still get to school her regularly.
Have fun Velvet in your new adventure and thank you Katie for trusting her with me .

The pictures are from the same weekend but the weather was a little changeable. 29 degrees blazing sunshine on Friday and full waterproofs required Saturday. Luckily we are pretty hardy riding in all weathers at home so we dealt with what if threw at us .

One of our lovely clients leaves us tomorrow as his rehabilitation is complete. Twiglet has been with us since the new year after his operation and is now strong enough to go home.
Laura really captured the essence of our yard in her note and it’s something I’m very proud of . We are a little family at Woodwick , supporting each other with no bitchiness or backstabbing.

Today we had the very lovely Cassy Gadsby Equine Coaching here doing a Working Equitation clinic . I’ve had a dabble in this a couple of times and it’s a really great discipline for all. I love the way it encourages suppleness, proprioception and straightness with the obstacles.

Darcy had her first go today as part of her cross training to get her back into shape . We did the slalom, sideways pole , met the bull and had an in hand go over the bridge to
Finish.
Was a gorgeous day weather wise and shared a marmalade cake with my clients and friends .

I love the way that we are all a team at Woodwick and everyone supports each other.

Well we didn’t miss the rain but we had a great time anyway.
My favourite place and why I love this sport is there is always something more to learn , I strive to be better. New journey for me and Darcy, not out of my comfort zone and will hopefully lead us back to where we started but with more tools in our box.
