I absolutely love this 😍🐾
The amazing @annaclereycornwall captured this sweet moment from the end of our class last night! I absolutely love what I do, and it means so much to build relationships not just with your adorable pups, but with all of you too! 🥰🐾

Recently I was looking after my mums dogs whilst she was away on holiday.
Below is a video of me doing some placeboard training with mine and hers.
I had a total of 8 lively spaniels , 6 on placeboards and 2 running around freely as we worked on individual recalls one by one.
Training this alone on a 1 2 1 basis would be an easy exercise for these dogs. However introducing others makes this exercise much harder.
Many dogs can behave perfectly until a distraction is thrown into the mix!
This is one reason why group training classes have the potential to be incredibly beneficial for dogs.
They can help teach you and your pups to learn and engage with you, alongside different people, dogs, and scents. 🐾
We're excited to announce 3 upcoming new classes! From puppy’s to obedience, tricks, agility, and gundog skills!
*Please note that not all dogs are suitable for group classes, some may need one-on-one training before thinking of joining a group environment*

There's more than one way to teach & to learn something 🐾
Not all of us need to use the same training methods (as long as they are positive). Dogs, just like people, have their own unique ways of learning. What may be effective for one dog may not work for another, and that's perfectly fine. There are multiple approaches to teaching something.
Whether it's teaching loose lead walking, recall, retrieves, tricks, weaves, contacts, and so on, I frequently recommend different training techniques for different dogs as they are all different and require different approaches.
This applies to what and how we reward our dog 🐾
Different dogs find different things more rewarding than others. Some may enjoy treats, toys, verbal or physical praise, and the way we give them these rewards can also differ. For example, my cocker spaniel, Gloria, gets excited when I scatter some food on the floor for her to search for. On the other hand, Harold, my springer spaniel, would be appalled by such a reward. He prefers it when I toss a treat for him to catch. Gloria is much more driven by food/toy rewards whereas Harold prefers food/verbal praise much more exciting than a tug toy.
So if you feel like something isn't working, don't worry! It's not that they can't, your pup may just need a different approach to learning or a different reward system in place!
