🐶 Male Siberian Husky x Border Collie | Age: 2 years

Shep’s mix of Husky and Collie means he has two breeds in him that were designed to work hard. Huskies were bred to pull sleds across vast snowy landscapes, while Collies were bred to herd sheep all day long.

That means Shep needs:
🏃 Plenty of physical exercise – long walks, games and adventures
🧩 Mental stimulation – training, puzzle toys and activities that challenge his clever mind
❤️ Companionship – he bonds deeply and doesn’t enjoy being left alone for long

Our beautiful shepherd Judd has found his forever home, and it is extra special because he has moved out of Cornwall to start his brand-new life 💙

A huge thank you goes to our wonderful staff who have worked so hard to prepare Judd for this moment. From daily care and training to giving him love and confidence, their dedication has helped him take this big step toward happiness 🐶✨

We are always amazed and so grateful when people are willing to travel, sometimes many times, to Cornwall to meet and adopt one of our animals. It shows just how far love and commitment can go to give them the future they deserve.

💔➡️❤️ Meet Bonnie ❤️➡️💪

🐶 Female Collie | Age: 1 year

Bonnie is a gorgeous young Collie who hasn’t had the easiest start in life. When she became overwhelmed and stressed in her previous home, she began biting at her tail. Sadly, the damage was so severe that her tail had to be amputated.

👉 The photo you see shows Bonnie bravely healing from her surgery – a reminder of just how much stress can affect sensitive, intelligent breeds like Border Collies.

But here’s the good news: Bonnie’s resilience is incredible. She’s recovering beautifully, her bright personality is shining through, and now she’s ready for a fresh start in a home filled with love, patience and plenty of adventure. 🌟

✨ Why understanding a Collie matters
Border Collies aren’t just pets – they’re working dogs, bred for generations to herd sheep and make quick decisions. They need more than long walks; they need mental stimulation too – puzzle toys, training games and challenges that keep their brilliant minds busy. Without this, they can become stressed or frustrated, just like Bonnie did.

With the right home, Collies are amazing:

Playful and energetic – as a typical young Collie, she needs exercise and enrichment to stay happy. After a busy day, she loves nothing more than snuggles on the sofa.

Would prefer to be the only pet at home but is friendly with other dogs on walks.

Could live with children aged 13+.

Needs a secure garden and a home where someone is around most of the time (she’s learning to be left alone gradually).

🐾🐱 Double the Love, Double the Joy – Meet Moley & Stripes! 🐱🐾

Moley is a happy, playful and affectionate kitten who adores people. He will wait by the glass, meowing for cuddles and purring away once he’s in your arms 💕

But Moley isn’t looking for a home on his own… he and his best friend Stripes, a more mature fellow, are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. These two are inseparable:

Say hello to Neeko and Alaska – a gorgeous pair of mature huskies who are full of heart 💖 and still have plenty of life and love to give. These two are looking for a calm, understanding home where they can enjoy their golden years together.

Alaska and Neeko are bonded and have spent their whole lives side-by-side, so we’d love to find them a home where they can continue their journey together. While they can be a little vocal in the kennel (typical huskies! 🐺), they settle down beautifully out on walks and enjoy one-on-one time with their carers.

They’re great to handle and happy to be groomed, which is ideal for their fluffy coats! Although they’re not interested in toys, they absolutely adore having a good run around and getting the "zoomies" in our paddocks – it's a joy to watch them stretch their legs and have some fun.

Both Alaska and Neeko walk well on the lead, with just a bit of pulling at times, but nothing unmanageable. They’ve shown potential to live with other dogs, provided slow and successful introductions here at the centre.

They’d be best suited to a quiet, loving home, potentially with older children who can respect their space and gentle nature. What they need most is someone who understands that senior dogs have just as much love (and personality!) to offer as the younger ones.

If you’ve got space in your heart (and on your sofa 🛋️) for a sweet senior duo, Alaska and Neeko would love to meet you.
