Just because we aren’t posting as much doesn’t mean we aren’t busy! 😆 Both Hope & Delta have left the stud for their new homes, and Flynn & Ophelia will be the next two to go to theirs 💕

We have had National Grid operating in our fields and laying new electric cables for almost a month now, so what with storm after storm we are struggling with the colossal amounts of mud that have formed! 😩

The few spot filly foal ‘Hope’ had her photos taken yesterday for her ApHc UK Passport.

Hope is off to her new home in just two weeks time! We are super excited to see her out on the show circuit - and especially excited to see what she looks like next Spring when her weanling winter coat has moulted out 😆

Gorgeous boy ‘Delta’ in the fading Autumn Sunshine ☀️ 🍂

This stunning chap shines like a star no matter the weather with his stunning champagne coat 🤩 With the most beautiful of looks, coupled with his amazing laid back personality - this chap is going to be a real head turner as he grows and matures!

Delta is off to his new home at the end of the month, we will certainly miss him, but we are looking forward to him flourishing in his new herd and family 💞

*2024 black and white filly foal {Ophelia} available at weaning - huge show ring or show jump potential!!

* 2023 Amber Champagne filly {Mango 🥭} - ready now, utd with everything, well handled and good as gold to lead, load, tie up, groom, fuss over etc. Will be able to do anything she turns her hooves too!

*2019 Bay Mare {Ronnie} - amazing breeding, her grandparents include very current/prominent stallion ‘Grafenstolz’ and showjumping legend ‘Karandasj’. Backed and riding on brilliantly, due to age still green in some areas but an absolute jumping machine!

Full history known on these amazing horses and they are reduced and available at very reasonable prices due to the need to cut down on numbers. An operation and hospital stay in the new year means that numbers need to be manageable for the caregivers.

Buckskin Appaloosa 2023 gelding - VH Moondust aka ‘Sparky’ 🌟

Gorgeous distinctive yearling with lots of wow factor. He has a huge white star on his head and a snip on his nose. Rich buckskin with Appaloosa spotting across his hindquarters.

To make 15.2hh+ at maturity. Currently in his autumn woolies and growing like a w**d. Was 14.3hh at last measure.

His dam, ‘Tamarton Meka’ is by ‘Tiptoe Steady Money’ a loudspot Appaloosa stallion with a competition record from from eventing and jumping in the South West.

‘Tiptoe Steady Money’ is descended from absolute classics in the Appaloosa breeding world. Names such as ‘The Executive’, ‘Klaus’, ‘ENRS Wapiti Scamp’, & ‘Tibertitch Chaco’.

His sire, ‘Moonlight Venture’ is a race bred cremello Quarterhorse, imported to the UK as a youngster. He refines his mares and adds elegance, length of leg, character, speed and he has lots of proven offspring out competing in different disciplines. There are progeny in endurance, showjumping, dressage, eventing and showing.

He is passported with the AES, wormed, vaccinated, regularly sees the farrier and has recently had his sheath cleaned. He is currently turned out with other geldings but was previously in a mixed herd and respects electric fencing. Will happily stay out overnight or be stabled. Comes to call in the field.

Sparky is a confident boy and not much phases him. He is good to handle, load and travel. He has been bitted and led out on country lanes. Has done some natural horsemanship and is eager to learn and picks things up quickly.

He has been out to one show where he won his youngstock class, getting lovely comments from the judge.

Very sadly for sale due to a change in my personal circumstances which I am happy to discuss with any prospective buyer. Based in Derbyshire.

Weaning is well under way here at the stud, with the hope that most of our lovely 2024 foals will have found their forever homes, have left the stud and be settled with their new humans by Christmas! 🎄⛄️🎁

Ophelia and Flynn moved fields on Monday with their Dams. They are back in the nursery paddocks directly behind the yard to start to ask a bit more of them and get them learning a few more tasks. Passport Paperwork has been drawn up by the vets and their microchips have been done ✔️

All of this years mares and foals are now on hard feed once daily. And from the middle of this week everyone will have access to ad lib haylage as the grass growth is much slower.

We have had lots of rain and the temperatures are still around 15 degrees 🥵 So the grass growth is there, just with the reduced sunlight hours it is much slower. So we make sure the mares and foals have plenty to eat, especially as the weather is only going to get inevitably wetter 😓 Those growing foals and nursing mares need the calories!

His winter foal coat is super duper thick but the coat that is around his eyes is much darker! This c**t is really spotty under all that fur, we are excited to see him in the future as he develops!

Oh Bonnie you are soooo beautiful and clever!

We spend a lot of time just being present around our foals, checking, feeding, talking, walking, scratching, making friends etc.

This means when it comes to learning new things they take it in their stride. Bonnie came in today for the first time in a few weeks and walked straight into the stable in front of her mum, started eating her hay out the rack and happily had a Headcollar on. She had a moment of uncertainty as it went on initially and then within moments she was back to eating and enjoying her scratches ☺️

We love love love our chilled out youngsters 🥰
