I’m heartbroken to share that beautiful Lenny passed away on 23rd October. The past few days have been very difficult in coming to terms with not having his happy, smiley face around 💙
I loved Lenny from the very first moment I met him. It was an absolutely awful day weather wise - the rain was torrential - but I went to meet his lovely owners Mike and Kelly in Ashton Park. I could barely see because the rain was so bad, but I COULD see how happy Lenny was playing with his ball. He gave me a quick hello and then got back to playing fetch.
As long as there was a ball about, Lenny was in his element. I have over 1,000 pics of Lenny, and I’d guess over 99.9% of them show him smiling with a ball in his mouth. Ball was life for Lenny, and as much as he loved his friends in the pack, his first instinct was to look and make sure I had a Scooby Doo ball when he got out of the van.
I have so many special memories of being with Lenny, and I’m so appreciative Mike and Kelly trusted me to spend time with him. He was one of my bestest pals and every weekend when I looked at the schedule for the week ahead, I had an excited feeling when I saw Lenny’s name.
He made so many good friends. I started taking Lenny out when I hadn’t been dog walking for very long, and our walks would usually be in Worthington or Walton Park. We had so much fun with some of the original gang - Walnut, Stitch, Deacon and Chester.
Lenny was loved beyond measure - every time I picked him up you could feel that the house was built around Lenny. Mike and Kelly are the best dog owners and they made sure he had the best life. I know how much they are hurting now so please send your love to them ❤️
Lenny will always be a part of my life and I’ll cherish the memories of him forever 💙💙💙
