𝗣𝗨𝗣𝗣𝗜𝗘𝗦 - why do I choose to go down the route of puppy/groom introductions instead of going straight into a full groom? BECAUSE IT'S TRIED AND TESTED AND IT WORKS! 🐾✂️

There's a little bit of the thinking behind it on my website 𝙬𝙬𝙬.𝙬𝙖𝙜-𝙖-𝙬𝙤𝙤𝙛𝙨.𝙘𝙤.𝙪𝙠 it's nothing to do with "𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒄𝒖𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒂𝒕 𝒃𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆 6 𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒉𝒔" (I hear this so much) it's more about your pooch being '𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲' to groom - each puppy/dog is different.

I've many long term clients who will vouch for and value this approach, it works a treat with desensitising rescue dogs or dogs who are generally nervous around grooming- short visits that are built up gradually, along with Pawrents doing their bit at home is a recipe for success 👌

What we don't want is a wiggly, hyper or extremely nervous pooch on the table around scissors and clippers, they need to learn and adjust to whats needed of them, just like toilet training and general obedience.

I always put the wellbeing of your pooch first and try to manage Pawrents expectations for a puppy's first visit - if you're with my way of thinking, then I'm more than happy to work with you and your pooch 😉

I just wanted to take a moment to share my appreciation for everyone's generosity and kindness 🙏 Honestly I'm blown-away with your lovely words, cards and thoughtful gifts, it really means a lot to me - thank you so very much! 🧡 And also, more importantly THANK YOU for choosing me to care for your Woofers, this is a gift in itself - I value each and every one of you and adore all the Woofers who come to see me 🐾

I'm in the salon for the final festive flurry on Monday with an early close to begin the festivities, I will be hanging up my scissors until Tue 7th January 2025, taking a well earned break and spending time with family and friends and my furries 👌
