Who else is staying wrapped up in bed today?!
Ohh we do love a breakthrough with the nervous or shy cats! 🥰🙌😻
We've cared for this wee one a couple of times, and he's finally been confident to hang out with us (we never force ourselves on cats and will sit quietly until they've acclimatised to us, in their own time).
We tend to use a finger rather than a whole hand, and allow them to rub against it if they wish, as this seems less intimidating.
What a gorgeous little one! 💖
Christmas is just over 11 weeks away!
If you haven't got your festive season requests in for cat sitting, we'd advise doing so!

WEEKEND WISING-UP!
We're all about improving our knowledge to better our cat's life and care, as well as sharing this with our wonderful cat clients, and follow feline fanatics!
So, for a bit of 'Weekend Wising-Up', what could be improved with the scene in this video (taken from online, not any cats we know!)?
A: 1. Cats are not social eaters, so it's best that in multi-cat households, they have their resources (food, water, litter trays, scratching objects, beds, high vantage points, etc), placed separately, in different areas, so they don't feel too 'on top of eachother'.
2. Ever heard of whisker fatigue (sometimes called 'whisker stress')?! Well, cats' whiskers are incredibly sensitive, as they gather information about what's going on in their environment, and send messages to the brain. It's thought that if their whiskers are bashing against their bowls, it's likely to cause 'fatigue' or 'stress' - I guess we could liken it to when our arms are aching from carrying heavy things for a while!
So it might be beneficial for your cat to replace any deep, narrow bowls, and use things like side plates or licki mats for raw or wet food, and why not try them with a food ball for dry (note, we do not recommend feeding cats a dry/kibble diet, but a few as a treat/snack should be ok!).
Now how easy are these 2 things to implement, which may make a significant difference to your cat!
Give it a go, if you haven't already, and let us know if you spot any differences!
