So baby Kenzo appears to be a brave little dude. He bought himself into the yard under the tarpaulin shade all on his own. Baring in mind the wind does still catch it !! He's also been lunging and going out around the XC in hand, where he's already figured out the bank, the steps and the ditches. Next up is dentist appointment to assess the wolfs teeth next week and saddle fitter the week after !!

Very excited to begin work with Kenzo over the coming weeks. After having been backed at the end of last year and turned away for the winter, he has now found his new home with me with massive thanks to his new owner. Excited to restart this boy and get to know each other.

So that's it folks officially as of Monday I am stepping back from teaching and riding freelance full time. I will still offer this service but with very limited availability. All ridden and teaching sessions must be arranged, booked with payment. I will do my best to get as many of you in as possible with the daylight hours we have.

I will also still be available for clinics by arrangement.

Thank you all for your understanding, continued support and custom. You are all truly appreciated.

Hi all, I just want to make some of you aware. I have been given the chance to branch out into Equestrian competition/event management. I will still continue to teach and ride around this role but it does mean spaces will be limited and flexibility needed where possible. This is due to the nature of this role, as I'm sure you can appreciate, there is no fixed hours as such. So any lessons or schooling must not be left to last minute booking please and I will do my best to continue to fit you all in where possible.

If anyone I know can offer a forever home to a companion horse please let me know. Due to ill health the owner sadly can no longer keep this horse. Also needs to be able to end her livery quickly due to this. Horse could be bought back into light hacking but hasn't done anything for a year as a result of health. Just needs a loving home. Not long now until this boy can be back under saddle. I'm intrigued to see how much more he has to give now he's had his operation. I have a feeling he will step up again and go even further in exceeding my expectations, which he has already surpassed a long time ago.

Sea the World and Suse at Dorset showground at the weekend. Competing in the Blue-chip Karma Qualifiers. 1 unlucky roll of a back rail on an oxer meaning just 4faults. Still secured themselves a great 4th position. Looking forward to Merristwood this weekend. 🤞

These 2 make me proud. Firstly this horse, is one I have worked with for a while, who only really started to learn to jump at the later age of 12. Previously he was a driving horse for weddings many years back so definitely not second nature to him. Turns out he loves it! So much so, that after getting permission from his lovely owner, to borrow him to teach my lovely vaulting and dressage rider friend how to jump and get her confidence over fences. Never would i have thought in a million years he would help me start someone jumping...This particular video was only the second time she had ever sat on and jumped jack. He is not the easiest horse to ride by any means, and definitely not a school master, however he will always try his heart out for you as long as you give him confidence.... Here already she's happy and confident popping down the grid to a 1m oxer on a horse who is still very much learning what this whole grid line is all about. As a result she is now happily popping around 1m combinations and tracks. Also having popped an individual fence or 2 slightly higher. This has now transferred over to having the confidence to pop her own horse over fences without losing her nerve even when he gets a little bit hot!! She's now happy enough to ride him forward into his energy whilst jumping! Fantastic result 👏 and it makes me a very happy trainer !!
