🐾 Beautiful Storm decided to visit Avon Lodge in Wilton without her owner the other day🐾
The weather was just so beautiful, the front door was open and she let herself in to have a look around the practice. She made herself very comfortable on the weighing scales and even helped us with some scanning❤️
Thank you for brightening our day Storm, it’s not every day a patient willingly comes into practice to say hello❤️

🐾Fashion or function?🐾
Luckily it’s easy to achieve both when it comes to keeping dogs warm during winter walks. Some dog breeds feel the cold more than others, especially those with a short coat. It can be beneficial for some dogs to wear a dog coat outside in the colder months.
❤️We’d love you to send us a photo of your dog wearing their winter coat in the comments section below❤️
❗Parvovirus in dogs❗
Your dog’s annual injections include vaccination against parvo, so it’s vital to keep these up to protect your pet against this serious infection. Puppies can be vaccinated against canine parvovirus from around six weeks old. As well as protecting your dog or puppy against this nasty and potentially serious disease, regular vaccination is required by kennels and pet insurers as a condition of cover. ❗BE SEEN❗
The key to keeping safe when walking in the dark is to be visible, BE SEEN!
For us humans, we can avoid dark clothing and wear reflective clothing, wristbands or straps. It is just as important for dogs to wear reflective items such as collars, leads and coats.
How do you ensure you are visible when walking in the dark? 🐾❤️
