2X : 14x12 stables, with provided automatic water supply.
5X : 12x10 stables, with provided automatic water supply.
Whether you require diy or full livery, our livery includes free hay, large paddocks X2 for summer and winter ( individually grazed, although if you desire to have company that can be worked out.) Aswell as this, free use of our horse walker ( takes up to 7 horses ) , free use of our turn out pens( for mucking out or during the winter months.)
We have on site shavings, at a cost.

Today, one of our many amazing liveries, Regan- took her horse Autumn Equinox aka Barney to Duchy College Equine Events to compete in the prelim x2. This is their first competition in 5months, we explain why now:

Both regan and Barney have been through ‘hell and back’ the last 8months. Barney had 5 trips to the vet( western counties + B&W ) as he sadly started to show signs of HeadShaking during the spring months. Barney underwent 3 PENS therapy treatments, 2 steroid treatments(back + hocks.) which as you can imagine took a huge toll on the combination.
Barney was off work for 4 months, so his fitness was not on top form and this was hard for the Ex racehorse to adapt to.

Once given the all clear to give Barney a job to do, Regan spent 6weeks+ doing inhand work and this was a spark to their ‘road to recovery.’ Barney faced poles and all sorts of challenging exercises that he wouldn’t face day to day ordinarily. He learnt something new everyday.

Now they’ve spent 2months+ on rehab rides to get Barney back to peak fitness and competing level, they can both start enjoying what they love again- and although there’s still some challenges they face, they come at them with all they’ve got.

Regardless of the result, she’s always so proud, and I think that just speaks for itself.

A word we think you can take from this, enjoy every moment- don’t take a day for granted with your horse! This was not a smooth ride for either horse or rider and there was certainly ups and downs. As a yard, we gave all our support possible and 15% of this has helped these two get back on their dancing feet 💃

Rare opportunity to join our team here at Long Orchard Equestrian, based in Landulph, Saltash.
We are looking for a hardworking and dedicated individual to join our friendly livery yard, with high demand to make the yard better then ever we are looking for the next team member.
What we are looking for is all daily yard duties to be done before the end of the working day: mucking out, turning out, bringing in, feeding etc.
We are looking for someone who is confident in handling fresh and competition fit horses and someone with good communication skills- with pride of being apart of the team.
Onto the topic of what days and hours you’ll work: We would like someone who can come in 3/4 times a week and this includes a Sunday between 7:30-16:00.
These hours may vary, depending on how busy the day is or what help is available.
A good rate of pay is of offer, own or reliable transport is essential.
Over 18s only, who doesn’t mind a graft, aswell as being professional, friendly💪

Introducing Alex, our ‘go to’ instructor here at Long orchard, who we strongly encourage to use- she’s one hell of a horse woman!

About Alexandra:
I began my training via the Working Pupil Method many years ago, working within a Riding School. From there I was given the opportunity to work on a large yard outside Rome with Advanced Dressage Horses and Grade A Show Jumpers as a groom.
When I came home I continued my studies working in Riding Schools, running a Livery Yard and teaching for the local Pony Club.
I spent a number of years studying Natural Horsemanship.
Most of my own horses have come into my life as projects and even as their last chance. Each has come with issues but also each one has taught me a lot about horses and equally about myself. A couple of these amazing creatures have taken me as far as Elementary Dressage and 1.05m Show Jumping.
I have competed for my Local Riding Club, qualifying for the National Championships in Show Jumping, Style Jumping, Horse Trials, and Riding Test. I am also a Riding Club Style Jumping and Riding Test judge at club level.
I now teach Freelance, Pony Clubs..
