Hi, I'm Zeta and from a small child until now, I've always had a passion for animals, nature and the great outdoors. In fact, I cannot remember a time where animals haven't been a part of my life. Because of that, it's what makes my job so enjoyable and rewarding. Being outdoors in the fresh air, seeing happy dogs, hearing happy clients and getting to watch some dog's journey of progress with you.

.. you cannot put a price on that. Every dog is different and they all have different needs and characters which makes catering to these differences very important to me. Each and every dog should be comfortable when out walking, whether they like playing with others, just having a good sniff or feeling at ease if they're a little nervous. I strive to keep walks fun so not only do I walk dogs, I also spend time interacting with them, so if you happen to come across what might look like a mad lady running around with dogs, making silly sounds and having "funsies", don't worry, it's likely just me goofing around with my "Pawfect" gang. I offer a range of services that include group and solo dog walking and also short pet visits/drop ins. The Pawfect crew slaying their summer walks! For the most part it's been a fairly mild summer which we're all very much loving. We've had a few days where it's been a bit on the hot side, but as per usual we always follow our hot days protocol. Nothing too bad yet to cancel walks, but of course summer isn't over yet so who knows what could be around the corner.

We've also welcomed Charlie and Sophie that have started with solo walks. Charlie has super enjoyed his walks thus far and is doing really well. And dear Sophie, a rescue that is scared of just about everything is slowly slowly starting to make some progress with being outside ❤️

Then there's the awesome news that Davy the well loved Standard Daxie will be back in town in August!

Things are increasingly getting busier and busier for us as we get further into summer. Lots of dog walking, pet visits and overnight sits so I regret to say we can't really fit any more pet visits/sitting in during the summer and unfortunately we only offer pet sitting for existing clients where their dog walks with us regularly 🐾 🐕‍🦺

We're finally in the summer months and while we haven't had any troubling days of the weather being too hot, we'd just like to put out our hot weather protocol and how walks will be tackled for when those days do arrive.

🚗 Transportation To & From Walks

1. Our van is fitted with solar powered air ventilation.

2. All crates and free areas have cooling mats.

3. We have fans clipped on to crates with sufficient air flow.

🐕 Dog Walking

When days start to get warmer, any of the following (or a combination) will be implemented.

1. Dog walks will only be done in shady areas which most likely will be in the woods where there is also running water to have a paddle and a good slurp. Alternatively, this could also be a gentle lead walk around some cool and shady country lanes for the overactive dogs.

2. We always carry water with us in a non plastic flask so that the water is nice and cool for the dogs to drink.

3. Walks could be cut down to around 40-45 minutes depending on how warm it is and we will look to keep exertion levels low. What this means is that if a dog is a particularly active dog and likes running around a lot, we may have to walk them on a lead for a bit so that they don't overdo things.

4. Walks may be brought forward and thus start earlier to avoid the hotter parts of the day.

5. If any days start to look like they're going to reach some very high temperatures, then in the best interest of the dogs, late morning/early afternoon walks will be cancelled, but a pop in service will be offered for those that are not home instead (garden time, play, toilet break and general fuss). Pop-ins are around 30 mins and charged at a rate of £10. We will contact you the day before to inform you of this and check what you'd like us to do.

It's important to remember that not all dogs are the same. Some dogs handle warmer weather better than others and there are many factors that come into play regarding how much a specific dog will be affected. For example: big dogs, young pups, elderly dogs, double coated dogs, black dogs, brachycephalic dogs, obese dogs etc

We know that some of the above things may not be ideal for some people, but we just ask you to bear with us and trust that we have your pups best interest at heart. And if we do have to cancel any walks due to extreme heat, please know that it's because we care. Cancellations also affect our income, but at the end of the day, we only want the dogs in our care to be safe and comfortable and that must come before anything else.

We really do have the best bunch of doggies and cats 😍 Another week done and much zooming, sniffing, rolling, sloshing and cuddling has been had!

On another note, we'd just like to take the time to say a really big thank you for all the recommendations, the chocolates, the wines, the flowers, the walking gear etc! We're just doing our jobs, but you guys are ever so kind and we're entirely grateful for such generousity ❤️

A big Happy Birthday shout-out to big boy Jet that is 1 years old today! Jet doesn't walk with us on Fridays, but how could we not give him a birthday walk and a present?! He had the best time running around and playing and I'm utterly convinced he will be spoilt rotten. Here's to many more fun birthdays ahead, Jet! 🐾

Double trouble? Nah! But double fun! A warm welcome to two new girls Harley the Frenchie X Pug and Mango the Cockapoo that apparently forgot to take on any of the poodle 😅 Both girls did amazing on their first walk and much fun was had by all!

Bluebell the Silver Labrador did much better today getting into the van. Yay Bluebell!

It's been a really nice few days of dry weather and while we're not there yet with those really high temps, as usual we're already making sure all dogs are comfortable.

In other news, I actually didn't realise there was a posting limit of photos, so if there's not as many photos of your pups, it's because of that and I do apologise. I'll look out for that in the future 🤦‍♀️

And who's this pretty girl? A warm welcome to Bluebell, the Silver Labrador! Bluebell has now joined the Pawfect crew for regular walkies. Although she was a bit reluctant to get into the van at first (which is totally understandable), she absolutely nailed her first walk today! Great recall and loved a bit of fuss from us. One happy dog indeed! The only downside? I might have got accidentally whacked a few times with that big stick she was carrying 😂

Who's this handsome lad? 😀 A very warm welcome to the Pawfect crew to Jet, the young Silver Labrador! Jet had his first walkies with us today and pawsitivly loved it! His introduction to his new walking group went great and much running around was had. Unfortunately he didn't get to meet Clover as she's on holiday, but that's something to look forward to next time. Well done Jet! 🐾

What a lovely, if not a bit windy day! As much as we love the outdoors, I think we're just a little bit over the wet weather and dare I say so are some of the dogs 😅 Of course, Spaniels, Retrievers and the like never care about the rain and the mud! Tomorrow is looking grim mind you, but I think we're in for a nice period even if just for a short while 🤞

In other news, we've done a few pet visits (unfortunately I don't have photos of all of these), and we've now had air ventilation installed in the van (a big thanks to Wild About Walkies) in readiness for the ever elusive late spring and summer weather 🐾

Due to some people cutting back on hours and/or moving away, I've now had some spaces open up for regular dog walking! Unfortunately I regret that I'm not able to offer any ad hoc walks as this causes too many issues with future scheduling.
The following days/times are for group walks. We do offer solo walks, but the times for these either have to be around 8am or 2:30pm.

Days and time slots (the time range of when a dog will be picked up) are available:

MORNINGS - 10/11AM
- Fridays

AFTERNOONS - 12/1PM
- Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays

A little late, but a very warm welcome to Gucci the Poodle X and Digger the Cocker. Another two handsome lads join the crew! 😀

We've also had the pleasure of doing quite a few cat visits lately as well.

Lots of lovely walkies have been had although we must confess that we're just a little bit over the constant rain and mud now! Here's to hoping for a drier spring. Maybe 😅

This will be our last post before the New Year. Friday we'll be off for Christmas, but we'll of course see a few of your lovely pups before New Year!

We've unfortunately said goodbye to quite a few amazing dogs and cats this year due to factors like some passing away or moving away. Those are the hardest moments in this job, but thankfully it's balanced out by welcoming new lovely dogs into our tribe. Some come, some go... such is the nature of this job.

We just want to say thank you so very much for entrusting your pets with us and for allowing us to be able and continue doing what we love. And also a big thank you for all the many cards and wonderful Christmas gifts! We never expect anything, but are entirely grateful ❤️

So from us to you, our pets to yours, have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year 🐾

A warm welcome to Daisy that has joined the Pawfect tribe for regular walkies. Daisy is quite a nervous girl around people but with time and at her own pace, she'll get there. One thing is for sure though... she's been very much enjoying her walks with other doggies and getting quite the spring in her step!

A warm welcome to Bracken the Collie! Bracken had his first walkies with us yesterday and very much approved of his time out and can't wait to do it again 😀 The weather has been rather up and down, but we're always thankful when we happen to dodge the really heavy showers 😅 Aren't they the cutest bunch? ❤️ Have a great weekend everyone!

Introducing Luna the Golden Retriever that has recently joined our Pawfect tribe. Luna has a grass allergy so she has to wear a body suit as she so loves to roll in the grass! She's fitting right in and is pawsitively enjoying her walkies and new friends!

It's been an interesting month with some days of heavy downpours and others with beautiful sunshine. We make the most of what we get though! And while I have no issues removing ticks from the doggies in our care, I'm not a fan of discovering one on myself when having an evening shower! First time for everything they say 😬

The wonderful cats of August! We had a pretty busy August with cat visits for the different households of Boots, Roxy, Yoda, Bella and Elsie. Some with multiple booking dates. We're just sad we didn't get to see Stacey one last time before she passed ❤️ We had a lovely time hanging out with them 🐈

Unfortunately more sad news as we say goodbye to Stacey. We were due to do pet visits for Stacey starting from today, but got the unfortunate news that she's no longer with us :( Stacey was a beautiful girl and we used to call her our veteran pet "visitee" as she had been with us from near the start of our business. She will be greatly missed by all. Our love and sympathies to her family.

In loving memory of dear Peanut. Unfortunately we lost Peanut recently and he is greatly missed. It was all a little sudden, but even though Peanut was a rescue from Cyprus, he absolutely had the best few years of his life with his owner. Rest In Peace, little one ❤️

Minnie the Frenchie is walking with us this week while Debs&Dogs is off on holiday. She's fitting in super well! Unfortunately by the time I had got my phone out to record, they were all winding down from playing chase 🤦‍♀️ Peanut is still doing great on group walks and Hugo even surprised me with eating a treat!

Coco the Cockapoo had been off for quite some time as she was busy being a Mummy and looking after her pups. However she is now back with the gang and absolutely loved it. Meg the Border Terrier was happy Coco was back as well and even Sonny the JRT joined in!

Little Esther the Border Terrier x JRT (white with tan patches for reference), hasn't been with us long, but she has already made so much progress. I was aware when I took Esther on that she's a nervous dog and when we had our first walk together, I thought it was going to be quite a long process with working with her. The first walk she was trying to run back towards the exit constantly. By the second walk though she already made progress. Now look at her... having a blast. Having the pleasure to see progress in some dogs... priceless ❤️🐾
