As fellow dog owners we all know how it would feel if we were to loose our dogs, so please as we are out and about be on the watch for this person's much beloved pet and share this post where possible.

If you see him please contact his owner, Diana Rossell. The Pointer X Whippet X Greyhound was last seen at 5pm on March 26, in Cann Woods.

His owners searched for him for hours, but were unable to find him. They are desperate to get him home.

Diana is asking for as many people to share his picture and help him be reunited with his family 💔

✨ Dogs in Cars ✨

Do you know Rule 57 of the Highway Code?

Rule 57:-

When in a vehicle make sure dogs or other animals are suitably restrained so they cannot distract you while you are driving or injure you, or themselves, if you stop quickly. A seat belt harness, pet carrier, dog cage or dog guard are ways of restraining animals in cars. This includes being sourced in the boot of the car if the boot were to open during an accident.

The DOOG Stick family, are splinter free, made from recycled rubber, has glow in the dark eyes and FLOATS IN WATER.

We have our Easter Dog Show coming up on Sunday 13th April.

We have lots of fun classes to celebrate the Easter season.

✨ Nail Clipping ✨

Cutting your dog's nails can be a daunting task as we all know!

Especially when it comes to the quick! But what is the quick?

The quick is the living, inner part of the nail that contains blood vessels and nerves, which provides nourishment and sensation to the nail bed.

If you accidentally cut your dogs quick it can bleed a lot but don't panic. There are ways to stop the bleeding.

Trimmex Powder is a styptic powder, a type of coagulant, used to quickly stop bleeding that occurs during nail clipping in animals but if you don't have Trimmex to hand you can use cornflour as a coagulant.

If you don't feel comfortable cutting your own dogs nails or want to know more about nail cutting come and talk to Georgie in store.

Why do we groom dogs?

It seems like the easy answer is to clean them when dirty but it can be a lot more than that.

In dog grooming there is an acronym used.

C - Cleanliness:

Ensuring the dog is clean and free from dirt, debris, and odors.

H - Health:

Checking for any signs of illness, skin problems, or injuries during the grooming process.

A - Appearance:

Focusing on the dog's overall look and ensuring the haircut and grooming are done to the desired standard.

I - Inspection:

Thoroughly inspecting the dog's ears, eyes, teeth, and paws to identify any potential problems.

R - Relationship:

Building a positive and trusting relationship with the dog during the grooming process.

So when washing your dog remember CHAIR!
