Important Community Alert: Deer Killed on Golf Course

We are deeply saddened to report a tragic incident that occurred on our golf course yesterday. A wild deer was killed by a trespasser who was accompanied by a pack of 5 dogs. This senseless act comes on the same day we shared footage of these beautiful animals roaming our course, reminding us of the delicate balance we must protect.

The police have been informed and are actively investigating the matter. This incident highlights the growing issue of wildlife disturbance and trespassing, which puts both animals and our community at risk. We urge everyone to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.

Let’s come together to raise awareness and ensure that such tragedies are prevented in the future. Protecting our local wildlife is a responsibility we all share.

Maxi's Mates Rescue & Rehoming Centre
We are desperate for bedding. Not all bedding we have lots of quilts please note we don’t use pillows and we don’t need soft dog beds.

What we do need is blankets , throws, sheets, duvet covers and towels. We hardly have any of those. 🍀

If anybody has them and could drop them off, we would be really grateful. We are going through so many at the moment with the little mucky pups and the bad weather. 🐶🙈

Let’s talk pumpkins 🎃

If anyone doesn’t want there pumpkins to go to waste, please feel free to drop them at the gate for us to dish out between our animals.

But please do not bring them if they have been treated with any bleach or chemicals, or if the wax from your candles has leaked into them 🕯️

Hi everyone, this is not a post we wanted to do but unfortunately we have cut down on our chickens, sooo this sadly means that there will be no eggs over winter😫

Hopefully we will pick back up in the spring but for now, it’s a case of while stock lasts, thankyou to everyone who has bought them over the last year 🍳 🥚 🐔
