It’s our monthly group dog walk this morning setting off at 10.30 to the barrage & back for free doggie sausages! 🐾

World 🌎 Diabetes Day

You might be wondering why we’re posting about World Diabetes Day? My very own Maggie has been diabetic since March 2022 and we wanted to do a post to raise awareness and let everyone know the signs of canine diabetes which are very much the same for us humans

Maggie has twice daily insulin injections, carried out at the same time day & night, it was really daunting at first, the prospect of having to inject my own dog, we are very lucky that Maggie has her injections without any bother at all. She also has a glucose monitor fitted to her which allows us to check her blood sugar levels with our mobile phones. We are very lucky to have a brilliant vet practice who have been so supportive since her diagnosis, Tees Vets in Yarm.
