My little angel wanted a little ride tonight!
So nellies been riding since she was able to sit up on her own, went abit beyond the boundaries tonight and put her on the lunge line!
Think I’m in trouble here she’s a natural 💁🏻♀️❤️🥰🌎🎀
Ohhhhh myyyyy dayyyysssss!!
We have got it!! Rising trot!! Straight into trotting today! (After the horse was lunged before hand)
To say I’m proud is an understatement I’m so happy that all the work we have been putting in is finally starting to show!!!!
Can’t wait for next week with more trotting 🤩🥰🎀
Soooo changed it up abit yesterday!!
It was my time to ride! He hasn’t been ridden for a very long time so it’s bringing him back into work ready for his owner after her pregnancy!
Was so nice and I can’t wait for the next ride☺️🎀
To say I’m proud is an understatement!!
Charlie and Millie well done!!!
The least couple of months have finally paid off hes listening! We are trotting a full circle and we are bending!! He’s getting the idea and getting use to schooling and Millie is finally showing him who’s boss!!
Love our lessons on a Monday night!! Can’t wait for the next ❤️🎀
So this wasn’t last week it was the week before! So there are more progress videos to come!!
We were still working on steering and getting him over the trotting poles properly! This helps horse and rider they both have to think about what they are doing!!
Abit more of a confidence lesson aswell but all in all we are getting there and Charlie is starting to realise there is more than just going forwards! 🎀
Soo it was abit touch and go Saturday after the little fall we had last Saturday Millie was abit nervous which is bound to happen! But wow! So we started off on the lead rein then half way threw the lesson we came off with a lot of reassurance from my self
and mum but Millie did it and so did Charlie! Still
On the trotting poles as we are still concentrating on steering, a few little trots but mainly a good active walk! All done under Millies say so! Most important thing is for rider to be comfortable and feel confident! Charlie also behaved himself and is getting better with the wind and rain! Roll on next Saturday 🥰❤️🎀
Sooo it’s been a different experience today!! We found out that Charlie doesn’t like the wind! And the lesson at the weekend was called of due to the rain! So today was a bit of a different lesson! Trying to get Charlie use to the wind also being calm during the wind picking up faster! We did have a little fall but Millie rode brilliant and stuck with him! She even got back one which is 100% the main thing! WELL DONE MILLIE 🤩
We managed to get over the trotting poles we thought it was safer if I walked next to him on a lead rein! We even popped a little jump! Just trying to make it fun for them both and keep Charlie’s mind on something else!! 🎀
So Millie has been dying to try a canter with Charlie! So today we agreed with mum that we were going to try a little one! I was on my horse for Charlie to follow, Millie was comfortable with this and happy to do it on her own! And I had every faith in them both!! They are both getting more and more confident every lesson we have 🤩
Well done Millie and Charlie! ❤️🎀
Trotting poles again for Charlie boy! We did 2 last week so we stepped it up and put 3 down!
Now Charlie has a thing with me he either loves me or he wants to eat me so the easier way to show Charlie the trotting poles was for him to follow/ chase me over them cheeky chappy!!
Our Saturday lessons are getting more and more fun 🤩 🎀
So this is Hector he’s 8 years old and he’s abit of a wild one he’s isnt broken so he’s the start of an adventure!
It’s not the first time I worked with hector it’s been on and off for a few years for different reasons!
Today was all about getting him to listen to me and do what I asked which for Hector is a massive thing as I use to put him on a lunge line and he would be up on all fours bucking and farting around the arena!
So today Hector finally decided to listen going from trotting around to walking when asked, we have just got to work on his standing when I ask hence why I was turning in on one of the videos I take my attention away from him he stops which eventually I won’t have to do that and he will stop on voice command!
The last clips is a desensitising technique just getting him use to standing and having something thrown over his back he did move a couple of times but next time it will be lunge line then a saddle cloth
All in all this is massive progress for Hector 🎀
So today we have finally got Charlie going over the trotting poles in walk and in trot!! YAY 🎉🥳
Last weekend Charlie didn’t even want to walk over them and kept dipping off to the side!
More of a active trot more control and I think he enjoyed it once he new what he was ment to be doing!!
WELL DONE MILLIE AND CHARLIE 🤪🎀
This is Charlie last weekend! Head up trotting around listening to commands his attention isn’t on the grass anymore and is care free loving his lessons with owner Millie (11) who’s riding position and control has come on leaps and bounds also with her confidence towards Charlie and riding! So very proud of them both 🎀
