Facebook wouldn’t let me publish Amy’s post to this page so I’m sharing it now.

Aggie and Roo adore each other so it’s always a good time when she joins us on our walks. She’s full of mischief and always gets on with all the other pups.

If you’re busy at the weekend and need your dog walking then get in touch 😊

How to Choose a Good Dog Walker (and Avoid the Bad Ones!)
Not all dog walkers are created equal! Finding the right person to care for your dog is important—here’s what to look for:

🐾 Check Their Reviews & Reputation
Happy clients will happily share their experiences! Look for genuine reviews, recommendations, and testimonials. Be mindful of fake reviews too

🐾 Puts Your Dog’s Wellbeing First
A great dog walker prioritises your dog over profit. They take time to build trust, avoid overbooking, and focus on quality care rather than rushing

🐾 Clear Communication & Transparency
Do they answer your questions honestly? A professional dog walker will explain their process, set realistic expectations, and keep you informed

🐾 Adapts to Your Dog’s Needs
No two dogs are the same! A good walker tailors their approach rather than using a one-size-fits-all method

🐾 Passion for the Job
You can tell when someone truly loves what they do. A dedicated walker is patient, caring, and goes the extra mile to ensure every dog is happy and comfortable

🐾 Trust Your Gut
If something doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t. Your dog’s safety and happiness come first—never hesitate to find someone better suited

📢 Spread the Word!

I’m so excited to share an update on the crates! 🎉 Josh from JRP Fabrication & Welding has sent me a video of my custom-made crates, and they’ve now gone off to be powder-coated. Next weekend, they’ll be ready to install, and I can’t wait!

One of the main reasons I chose a car instead of a van was windows as I wanted plenty of natural light and ventilation to keep the dogs comfortable and at ease. These new crates have mesh sides, so they’ll make the most of that airflow while still keeping everyone safe and secure on the road.

It’s been great having something built specifically to suit my setup, and I’m so glad I went for a car that keeps things bright and airy for the dogs.

And yes, it is a car, despite everyone telling me it's a van🤣 🚗🐶 Can't wait to show you all when it's finished, watch this space!

When I was setting up my business, choosing a name felt like a big decision. In the end, it was an easy choice — Aggie’s Dog Walks and Pet Service.

Aggie, my dog, was a familiar face around Ettiley Heath. As we walked, people would always greet her by name, but often not know mine! So when it came to naming my business, it made sense to go with what people already recognised. I hoped that by choosing her name, people would make the connection between Aggie, our walks, and me.

Her name has a special meaning too—I named her after Agatha Christie. As a child, I used to borrow my Grandma’s books and couldn’t get enough of them! So when it came to choosing a name, Aggie felt like the perfect fit.

It’s a name that means a lot to me, and I love that it started with the simple joy of walking my own dog. Now, I get to walk lots of fab dogs under a name that holds real sentimental value. It makes me laugh how many people have thought that my name is Aggie. Come on, own up, who has been called by their dogs name!?!??!

If you spot me out and about, feel free to say hello—I’m always happy to chat about how I can help with your pet.

Comment below — how did you choose your pet’s name? I’d love to hear your stories!

Happy Monday, everyone! How was your weekend?

Weekends are like a busman’s holiday—still out walking dogs, just without the usual schedule. My go-to local route is from Ettiley Heath, along the canal, and back via the Rail Trail. It’s a great mix of interesting scents, open paths, and plenty of space to stretch the pups legs as well as mine. There's also the option to pop in to either the Cheshire Cheese for a pint or Barchetta for a glass of wine!

Where’s your favourite place to walk around Sandbach and the surrounding areas? Always keen to hear about new routes to explore!

February is National Pet Dental Health Month, so it’s the perfect time to check in on your dog’s teeth and gums.

There are lots of ways to support your dog’s dental health, including:

🦷 Regular brushing – If your dog tolerates it, brushing is the best way to prevent plaque buildup.
🥩 Natural dog treats – Chewing on treats like rabbit ears and chicken necks helps clean teeth naturally.
🥕 Balanced diet – A diet rich in high-quality protein, vitamins, and minerals helps keep teeth strong and gums healthy. Crunchy vegetables like carrots can also act as a natural toothbrush.
🚫 Avoid hard objects – Things like antlers and stones can crack teeth.
👩‍⚕️ Dental check-ups – Regular vet visits help catch problems early.
💧 Keep the water bowl clean – Fresh water helps wash away bacteria.

Every dog is different, so finding a routine that works for them is key. Aggie isn’t a fan of regular brushing, so she gets natural dog treats like rabbit ears, chicken necks, and beef marrow bones to help keep her teeth clean. It’s all about finding the right balance.

How do you keep your dog’s teeth clean? Let me know in the comments

A great big happy 10th birthday to our Queen B 🥰🥳🎁🐶 Bonnie is such a funny character, whenever she is about with us she rules. She might be small but one look and all the dogs sit up and take notice.
