🫏 Something a little bit different today. This donkey has been lame for a few weeks due to developing mechanical laminitis but with the help of the theshoeinglab.The Shoeing Lab 01905-641640 (7x0) squish pads, glued on with The 3rd Millennium glue, Tizzy is now well on the way to recovery 🫏

Rocky sadly went lame at the start of November with no initial known cause. After getting the vet out and having x-rays done, he was diagnosed with Pedal Osteitis and Laminitis. After this diagnosis, he soon underwent surgery to remove the infected tissue. This then left him with both a hole in his hoof wall and the sole of his foot. 10 weeks later, after speaking with the vet, it was decided that we were at a point where the hole could be covered. I did this by glueing on a aluminium crack plate the cover the hole on the hoof wall and then putting a heart bar shoe, leather pad and packing to cover the hole in his sole. #equine #farrier #farriers #horse #horses
