We’ve had such a wonderful festive weekend! 🎄✨

On Saturday we visited the Quarr Abbey Christmas Fair — the sun was shining, the air was crisp, and there were so many lovely dogs to say hello to! 🐕❄️

On Sunday we headed to the Landguard Manor Christmas Fair where we met the fantastic Trackadog team (do pop their number in your phone — their card is in the photos!).

We also met Rachael from Work Threads, who creates beautiful printed and embroidered items. I’m excited to hopefully get some Jems Fresh Paws goodies made soon!

We also spoke to an incredible lady who runs Paragon, a charity supporting people affected by domestic abuse. The work they do is truly inspiring. 💛

We rounded off the day in our happy place — The Bay Vegan Deli & Coffee House — with a delicious homemade mango and coconut cheesecake and a cosy coffee. Pure bliss! ☕🍰❤️

Grooming is so much more than making your dog clean, looking good, and smelling wonderful. At Jems Fresh Paws, I take the time to truly connect with your dog. I listen to them when they show signs of fear or anxiety, and I reassure them gently. Before long, they learn that I am here to protect them, keep them safe, and earn their trust.
This relationship is a vital part of dog grooming.

With every visit, our bond grows. I learn your dog’s unique struggles and work with them at their pace. This is why changing groomers can be unsettling for a dog—they must start over and rebuild that trust from the beginning.

I am incredibly proud of the fearful and anxious dogs I’ve worked with over the past year. They have made such meaningful progress, and I am deeply thankful to their guardians for understanding their dogs’ needs and sticking with me throughout the process.

Sometimes, it takes several shorter sessions to avoid overwhelming an already fearful dog, and that’s okay. What matters most is their comfort and welfare.

Please know that we can work together to support your dog every step of the way. ❤️🐾
